Mario and Maria are the best hosts I’ve ever met and I’ve travelled to over 25 countries! Great attitude, always smiling and willing to help, truly great human beings! The suite was perfect for us and our baby, the scenery is amazing, the property is full of vines and fruit trees which you will enjoy at every breakfast, and the pool is gorgeous! We stayed for 5 nights and were sad to leave Mario and Maria. Truly A+++

My stay at Casa do Escovio was a highlight of my vacation in Portugal! The home is beautiful, clean, quiet, and comfortable. It’s located in a beautiful, quaint, quiet town. And Mario and Maria are so nice and welcoming!

There was a beautiful outlook over the valley and gardens. Maria’s cakes in the morning and jam were also delicious at breakfast.

Senhor Mário and his wife were the most wonderful and accomodating hosts during our stay, they went above and beyond to help us when we needed. Beautiful house with a beautiful view, hope to return!

We had an amazing stay at Casa do Escoivo. We felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. We even got a free upgrade to a bigger room with a balcony of which we had a beautiful view over the vineyards. We had rented a car in Porto to explore the Douro Valley and it was easy to find this property. If you don't have a car it will probably be difficult to reach this place. The breakfast was so lovely with lots of fresh products (including delicious cake!). We were also very spoiled with fresh oranges and plums from the property and even a bottle of their homemade wine. Thank you so much for making our stay unforgettable!! You are such lovely people and we hope to come back someday!
