Harper's Steakhouse with Rooms, Haslemere

The staff were absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful. The pub is located right across the road from the Halsemere train station which makes travel very easy. Loved the daily nespresso pod and shortbread biscuit top ups! The room was very comfortable for a week long stay. You could go for an easy walk in either direction and find restaurants / shops / lovely historic buildings. The hotel is also within walking distance of Swan Barn walk, a lovely nature reserve through English countryside.

It would have been helpful to receive some instructions on how to navigate the roadworks out the front. I appreciate that's out of the hands of the hotel however it made access and egress very difficult for an international visitor/driver! Guests should be aware access to accommodation is via stairs. I was not affected however it may cause difficulty for elderly/disabled people.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing – Highly Recommend! Wow, what an amazing place! From the moment we walked through the door, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble, and they genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. We had the most incredible three-course roast dinner, and honestly, the food was top-notch! Every course was absolutely delicious. It was one of the best roasts we’ve had in a long time. 😍 After dinner, we were shown to our room, and to our delight, we’d been given an upgrade! We now have a beautiful room with a super king-size bed and an amazing bathroom. The attention to detail is just fantastic — an espresso machine with loads of pods, fresh milk in the fridge, plenty of tea and coffee, fresh biscuits, bottled water, fluffy bathrobes and air conditioning. The room is just gorgeous, and you can really tell they’ve thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and special. The staff are absolutely wonderful, the location is amazing, and the price is so reasonable for what you get. If you’re thinking of booking, BOOK AWAY! You won’t regret it! We honestly can’t recommend this place highly enough. We’re so glad we chose to stay here. ❤️ Thank you for such a lovely experience!

The room was clean the bed was comfortable. The price for the room was very reasonable. The staff were friendly and I like the online check in facility. Safe car park as we were travelling with racing bikes.

The shower cubicle was cramped even though I am quite small. We couldn’t get the in house wifi to work. Luckily we brought a portable wifi box. We had to leave before breakfast time to catch the ferry from Portsmouth. We requested a take away continental breakfast the night before. We were told by staff at 06:45 the breakfast should have been delivered to our room the night before!
