What a smashing place to stay. So clean and the host Mike gave us all the information that we needed. The house was a four minute walk to the Sky Train which can get you to Downtown and Vancouver and Vancouver International Airport in under 20 minutes for both locations. Absolutely exceptional. If ever we're in Vancouver again I will be asking For a stay at Mike's.

You can't beat the quality/price ratio for this accommodation, which is exactly as pictured in the listing. I especially loved the location, which is steps away from gorgeous green spaces, a vast array of great restaurants and nightlife, and public transit taking you anywhere you need to go in the city. Not only that, but Mike the host is very warm and helpful. I highly recommend staying here, it will elevate your experience in Vancouver.

Mike seems like a nice, friendly person, who is happy to help if needed and is also available for a chat. The location is good, it’s close to public transport and the airport. There is also a beautiful park nearby and a few shops within short walking distance. Laundry is permitted for an extra $10/load. The room was specious and comfortable.

All rooms are located on the second floor and are reachable via two flights of stairs (I don’t remember it being mentioned in the description but maybe I missed it). If you have a lot of luggage like I did, Mike kindly offers to leave your heavy bags downstairs. The only negative for me would be that the cleanness was not 10/10 (the blanket cover had dry snort on it and there were hairs on the bed) but I had my own sheets/towels which I used, so it was ok.

I liked · Mike's house was very nice and clean, Mike changed my room to a room with a private bathroom for a small fee, it was my first time to Vancouver, Mike helped me a lot to find the places I needed. find. He was very helpful. He was friendly ,kind and helpful. Access to supermarket, subway and Starbucks with a ten minute walk, access to the Skytrain and three bus stops in less than five minutes to access all parts of the city. From the airport you can get to Mike's house in six stops and less than 20 minutes. If I come back to Vancouver I will choose here again

Mike is an excellent hosts, he was very friendly and very accommodating. The master bedroom was very big and we definitely enjoyed staying there.

The Location is quiet and very good with easy transportation access to any part of Vancouver city. The Wi-Fi is fast and uninterrupted.

Mike is very hostile and rude to us, maybe because we are black. He kept us outside in the cold for an hour on the check-in day at night. He even threatened to kick us out if we don't behave ourselves. He was not helpful in anything. I still can't believe Mike treated his guests/customers this bad.

Mike was very welcoming and his house is really clean and comfortable! the proximity with the Trainline is very handy if you plan on exploring the city without a car

this is an old hose so there was barely any sound insulation between our room and the next one. thankfully the other first were quiet

Great location. Mike is a very kind person, it was good to have conversations with him. Access to the downtown is very easy thanks to the skytrain, that is at 5-10 minutes by foot.

Nothing except some very little things about costs. And the wifi act like kind of weird, shut off for no reason and then comes back again 1min later.

My room was very comfortable and I slept well. Mike was so lovely and friendly. He offered use of the kitchen if I wanted it. The location was very close to the subway. The most important thing for me was the reasonable price. Hotel prices in Vancouver have skyrocketed. Mike made my trip affordable.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the bathroom was outside the room. I never had to wait to use it. it just wasn’t as convenient.

Location was 5-7 min walk to Skytrain. Quiet street. The host was nice, accommodating, and helpful. Two tall bright lamps next to bed. Comfortable bed.

As a single older woman who uses a cane late in the day when my knee begins to be less steady, I need to know when there are stairs to climb. I would not have booked this location if I had known there were stairs. Also, you run into times when enough is enough. I did speak with the host before I left to tell him that the stay was disappointing overall. He was defensive, explaining that he "could have gotten tea for me", etc. The point is that there were not enough provisions to help the traveller feel comfortable. Forget luxury (Mike's Luxury House), this was bare bones operation. I was in a small room with a high window (no view), no comfortable chair (there was a broken armed desk chair), no mirror, no AC (though large fan), a table, and a small frig. There was no mention of a shared bath, nor that i would have to climb/descend 16 stairs every time I wanted to wash up, use facilities, brush teeth, look in the mirror, etc. When I expressed my "incredulity" that I wouldn't have an en suite bathroom and that the booking did not specify no bathroom or stairs, the host prevaricated and said someone is leaving tomorrow so you can have that room with en suite bathroom for more $. The next night when I returned, he had rented the room with en suite bath. He gave me the shoulder shrug. I was given one bath and one hand towel for two nights. The first night, i asked for a face cloth. The next night I asked for a second face cloth since I am not a prima donna I can use a bath towel twice. The bathroom did not have handrails for tub. I am still on a 2 week trip using low cost hotels and B&B's and this was the worst. Places usually provide what you need in these covid times. Finally, I bought earplugs after the first night so I could not hear my neighbors pee, shower, snort, cough (you get the idea) etc in the bathroom next door. I also mentioned this problem to host. Overall, C-/D rating & expensive.

Location is in a quiet neighbourhood with a Starbucks down the street and within easy walking to the Vancouver Skytrain. The house is situated between the airport and the Vancouver Waterfront. Good parking available as well. The host was readily available and accommodating for change in ETA. He gave me the option to upgrade to a room with an ensuite, which was wonderful!

Not clear if there was a kitchen available; I didn’t need one this trip but might need a kitchen for future stays.
