Evening meal and breakfast excellent and totally up to expectations

The location was fantastic staff very friendly and helpful the pool facilities were fantastic and food was top notch!! Highly recommended

Nothing to dislike

The rooms are spacious and comfortable enough. I was given a room with a minibar fridge, which helped a lot, although I'm sure the room I booked wasn't meant to have a minibar fridge in it. The restaurant has some decent dishes on the menu, and you're allowed to substitute some of the side dishes if you don't like them. The bar offers a wide range of drinks. They even sell Heineken 0.0 on draught, and they have some non-alcoholic spirits. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of things to eat for breakfast. You get a decent breakfast for the price you pay. There is lots of parking available. The Scotch Corner service station is just on the other side of the roundabout, and the Mainsgill Farm Shop is only a short drive away. I was only staying at this hotel because I had been driving from Norfolk to SW Scotland and needed to make a break. Personally, I'd say this hotel is only the type of hotel you'd only want to spend two nights maximum at, but it is an ideal hotel to stay at if you're travelling a long distance and need to make a break. I'd stay at this hotel again if I ever had to.

There was a lack of vegetarian and vegan dishes on the restaurant's menu, so I ended up eating some meat dishes. The breakfast buffet does offer a cooked vegetarian breakfast, but you have to pre-order that. I just ate the meat products, and also some fruit and a pastry for breakfast that day. There was no Bury black pudding available at the breakfast buffet, but I guess that's because the hotel is in Yorkshire! The hotel isn't located close to any big towns or cities, or to any major settlements, but it is only the type of hotel you'd want to stay at if you were travelling a long distance and needed somewhere to break your journey.
