The property met my expectations. Nothing was overly complicated. With my sister arriving before me Jan was accomodating, flexible and welcoming for my family. My girls like walking in the garden and down to Kholo creek.

WiFi access did not work but as we were not overly dependant on the internet we just got by without it because it was not worth the hassle. I underestimated travel to and from areas of interest but that’s not something that can be changed. Dog poo in the garden was unfortunate but as dog lovers we could cope.

location was excellent and bush setting quiet and relaxing. great size for family.

Heating did not work in bedrooms so children got sick, and were there to run state cross country. Charged far too high a rate for what was provided. Property not easily identified as owners property before it with signage makes it look like it is the property to go to. Insufficient cooking for stove top as only two electric hot plates. Sofas old and not comfortable. Bedroom ensuite leaks water from shower. Two dishwasher tablets provided for four days stay. Location too far out of Ipswich and bad traffic congestion on week days.

It was a large spacious house with large verandah in a bush setting ideal for kicking back and relaxing.

Some steak knives would be nice

Jan and her husband Jim were lovely and very accommodating. The surrounds, very pretty and the house is quite handy to local shops.

Coucals Cottage was perfect for two families to stay together and great for kids with the ping pong table, outside garden area and deck. The deck was beautiful for enjoying meals and very relaxing - the adults spent a lot of time out there whilst the kids were playing ping-pong. We loved the location as it was exactly what we wanted and it was an easy commute by car to Brisbane city but it is a distance away if you wanted to be near the city. The house was plenty big enough for the two families and very well set out. Great selection of books, magazines, a couple of puzzles and some DVDs. Very clear instructions at the house. Close to all amenities such as shopping. Very clean and comfortable.

More toilet paper - just to start the families off for their stay. A couple more kids DVDs and some board games/card games would compliment the activities already available as the house lends itself to staying home and enjoying time with the family. Label the light switches.
