Toller Pool und die Anlage in Summe sehr gepflegt, hier kann man schon mal Urlaub machen. Dazu einer der sehr leckeren Cocktails, dann ist es nahezu perfekt.
Wir hatten das letzte Zimmer bzw. waren am Ende der Anlage, wo es leider laut war (u.a. Bauarbeiten, Treffpunkt des Personals und der Betrieb des Strom-Generators) und auch ständig nach Diesel gerochen hat. Ja, wir hatten die günstigste Zimmer-Kategorie gebucht, aber soetwas muss im Urlaub auch nicht sein.
Was den Gesamteindruck der Insel angeht, dafür kann das Sara Resort auch nichts, aber es ist schon ziemlich dreckig rundum, mit vielen Bauruinen, im Wasser scwimmt leider ein ständiger Ölfilm und noch einiges mehr.

What a lovely and well run resort. From the minute we stepped on the beach, we were greeted by a whole team from the resort and they took our bags, sat us down and gave us a complimentary welcome drink while a lovely man explained everything to us. Room was kindly upgraded to a bungalow, definitely worth the money if you have the option to choose, super modern, everything works as it should (not always the case at island resorts). Service was incredible, there’s obviously good training and culture instilled here as the staff actually looked like they were having fun. Beach bar team were a good laugh, and happy hour seems to last all day!!
Literally loved everything here. Not a single bad thing to say. They even dropped us off at the ferry pier when we had to leave.

部屋は小さめですが快適に過ごせました。目の前のビーチは遠浅で穏やかですが、風の強い日は波が出たり、変化も楽しかったです。居心地が良すぎて延泊しました。ニワトリが朝鳴くのも、のどかで良かった。近くにお店や他のレストランもありました。

Reggie helped us with trying to resolve issues we had with our stay due to the issues mentioned below. He went back to the owner/senior staff a few times to try and meet our expectations to resolve these issues so thanks for the effort from Reggie alone.
The room was dirty, mould and literal clumps of hair were found. The biggest issue we had was finding a thumbnail size patch of fresh blood on our duvet cover. This was raised to Elliot, the night manager, who said we were lying and refused to resolve this by changing the bed sheet (even after I offered to change it myself) due to "working departmentally" meaning for some reason he didn't have access to any replacement bed sheet which does make you wonder what he manages. I asked him what would happen if a child had been ill or someone had suffered with D&V and his first response was they would just to put up with it like us till morning before changing this opinion once I had questioned it again. After 1.5 hours of discussing this with him he eventually came to the room as requested to look at the blood, grim and mould in the room and still denied it wasn't to a four star standard on here. This is now 01:00AM and we're listening to him state that blood can't provide any diseases or pose a health risk which we couldn't believe especially given the several vaccines we had prior to the trip mostly being linked to blood borne diseases. He eventually got a member to staff to change the sheet and did offer a deep clean the next day but our trust in the establishment had gone. This wouldn't have been as big of a problem for us had the sheets been changed straight away, even if i had to of done it myself. I still can't believe this lengthy dispute even happened as it is truly appalling customer service for a very legit and potentially serious issue.
We were offered originally a $10 meal voucher which we declined as compensation for the issues above as if the rooms are this dirty the kitchen is likely just as unhygienic. This went up to a $50 meal voucher the next day which we declined for the same reasons. We eventually had to settle for a $70 refund on our $101 a night room as we had to cover the tax...

Great resort with well designed pool (also really pretty at night!), bar & restaurant and bungalows. It is located directly at the beach. So great views during breakfast. Our bungalow was comfortable with a comfortable bed (we requested an additional topper). The staff was super helpful and friendly. They picked us up from the boat, helped us during the stay and ensured we also caught the speedboat back. There are also nice restaurants and bars nearby, although also the one from the hotel itself is quite solid.
From our room we could hear the music from the bar at times. Also vegan food was pretty limited.

Auf Wunsch gab es eine Zimmerreinigung und wir haben ein kostenloses Upgrade erhalten.
Im Badezimmer würde eine Duschvorhang/- wand helfen, ansonsten flutet man das Bad. Tägliche Stromausfälle von wenigen Minuten, schränkten aber nicht ein.

We went on a tour booked through the hotel, most of the day was great, then on the way back the sea got rough (of course could not be helped) was very scary getting off the boat onto the jetty. had to walk about 20 minutes In the dark back to our hotel. On our return, one manager, a westerner, who was very drunk came over to us. we expected him to be apologetic, but he was far from it. He just laughed it off and said we knew you would be ok - it could have ended in disaster.
On our last day the tide was way in, their tractor wasn't working so we were told to walk 20 minutes to the jetty and had to carry all our luggage. We said we couldn't carry our luggage so some lovely Cambodian staff carried our luggage for us. We nearly got to the jetty only to be told we had to go to the other one in the opposite direction. Another 20 minutes walk back to the accommodation - we asked if they could ask another hotel to use their tractor, they said they couldn't do that. We walked another 20 minutes in the opposite direction to the other jetty. One of the managers (different westerner to the other night) turned up to the jetty and was drinking beer as everyone was trying to get sorted.
Not impressed at all with the management, but he Cambodian staff were wonderful.

Staff is wonderful, regularly going beyond the last mile. Swimming pool is wide and well-kept. Restaurant offers a wide variety of yummy food, both western and asian, plus bbq at dinner.
Beach front is shorter than other resorts on the island. Bungalows are aligned on a lane, without view and rather small in size. Shower without a shower box. But my biggest concern is that the beautiful island is not well preserved, litter can be found on the paths, noisy polluting tractors run on the beach back and forth. The island will be quickly spoilt if things do not change, which is a risk for people who invested in tourism and a loss for the mankind in general. More environmental conscience could contribute to save this paradise for the future generations.

The people and cleanliness was top tier! The WiFi exceptional, food and drinks excellent and the location is literal paradise!
The beds were super comfy in rooms and aircon was a nice treat in the heat.
Was nice to have options for shade or sun by pool and beach.
Absolutely loved our stay here, definitely go and check it asap!
Honestly really hard to find something we didn’t like! Only thing that happened was our key didn’t lock room when we arrived but they fixed it immediately. The people here are so wonderful and helpful.

The resort is in a perfect location right on the beach. Breakfast was satisfactory. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful.
The room was a bit dated and the bathroom could do with an update.

Otroligt snäll och trevlig personal. Rent och snyggt. God mat. Fin pool och strand. Söta hundar. Allt va bra. Skulle verkligen rekommendera detta boende. Många som kom från andra resorter och åt och va vid poolen. Du behöver inte lämna resorten om man inte vill, men det finns vandringsslingor om man vill röra lite på sig.
Kunde funnits fler solsängar vid poolen. Det va något djur, råtta?, i taket (inte inne) på våran bungalow (nr20) som va väldigt aktiv på kvällen/natten. Gjorde det lite svårt att sova.

The best thing about this small resort is its staff. They are extremely friendly and as there are so many of them around all the time they create a lovely vibe around the whole place. The pool area is pretty and the food in the restaurant good and, compared to European prices, very reasonably priced (Asian dishes are £5-£6). For the lovers of cocktails the happy hour is also quite a bargain: £2.80 for any cocktail and £0.80 for a beer. We found that the location of the resort was perfect for us: Saracen Beach was busy enough to have things to look at, but quiet enough to not feel crowded at any point. The sea is perfect also for children as it is so shallow. It would be lovely if the resort provided good quality paddleboards (with back fins intact) and adjustable paddles for their guests. Also, a basic, early morning yoga class would also be lovely by the poolside as there is no one on the whole island who offers yoga classes.
I would recommend the resort photographer to take proper photos of the outside of the regular double and twin rooms and the buildings they are located at so people who make reservations online know exactly what they are coming to.

The rooms were in need of attention and maintenance, but adequate. Breakfast was ok, but if you wanted a 2nd cup of tea/ coffee extra charge incurred.

Absolutely loved this resort. The staff were absolutely amazing. So friendly and helpful. Always willing to go out of their way to assist you in any way they can. Wide variety of Asian and Western food on the menu. Such a warm, relaxed feel to the resort. Pool was excellent, and beach is right at the forefront of the resort. Short walk to the other side of the island to visit other beaches as well.

L ‘emplacement au milieu de Saracen Bay est idéal. La piscine est juste magnifique avec vue sur la mer. Le dîner les pieds dans le soir est juste magique.

Le petit déjeuner est limité à un seul plat soit sucré ou salé, comme boisson soit du nescafé ou du thé et 1 seul jus de fruit avec plein de glaçon tandis que les autres hôtels font le buffet à volonté sucré et salé, du vrai café et du thé, des jus de fruits à volonté
Le restaurant est cher, un plat de grillade de fruits de mer pour 2 est servi avec 1 pomme de terre et 1 rondelle de maï, le plat est composé de crevettes et poissons de mauvaises qualités, seuls les 2 calamars étaient bons.
Pas de frigo dans la chambre pour pouvoir vendre plus de boissons au bar.
Les coqs chantent à partir de 3h du matin impossible de nous reposer après notre long voyage avant le retour

The Khmer staff was kind and very helpful. The food was also good.
After arriving it took 2 hours to get into our room. It was the last room of the big yard, we thought it would be closer to the sea. The room was stinking and the bed was very uncomfortable .The general atmosphere was a bit strange at Sara Resort. We had a feeling that it was not run by heart but by money and control.

The resort was clean, service fantastic, pool was well looked after, location and access to the beach was easy. The breakfast was a great selection and it was fantastic to get fruit as part of that. The help with getting to and booking the return ferry was greatly appreciated. The flexibility timing on refreshing rooms was greatly appreciated. We and our children were always made to feel very welcome.
A contribution towards cleaning more of the beach, not just the small resort strip would be welcomed. Every customer should pay a small amount, and the resort can make this clear to the customers, that they as a resort are taking on a broader responsibility. Just a thought.

We had a very cute bungalow, nicely decorated and comfortable. Great breakfast options and the food in the restaurant was very good and good prices. Good happy hour and good cocktails. Amazing swimming pool with a lot of sitting places, right off the beach.
The bathroom was a little bit small and not much pressure on the shower.

Было бы хорошо чистить пляж после отлива, чтобы в прилив ничего не плавало. Однозначно надо убирать все тарахтелки с пляжа. Пляж для отдыхающих. В первый же день хотела уехать с острова только из-за того, что по пляжу постоянно ездят, тарахтят и воняют горючим, мотоблоки. К сожалению ни в одном отзыве это не указывалось. И так по всему Сарацин бей, вне зависимости от категории отеля. Если лежать у бассейна, то все ок. Но хотелось на пляже.

Rummen var förskräckliga ( vi prövade två olika). Hängande elkablar i badrummen, sprickor i golv, slitet och så ofräscht. Knappt ingen belysning-ta med en ficklampa om du väljer detta boende så du ser att läsa samt ser i badrum. Definitivt inte ett,prisvärt boende, då rumsstandarden är så urusel.

Everything at Saras was just perfekt.
Dont miss to take a walk to the beaches on the other side on the island, sunsetbeach a tuff walk. We recommend sneakers.
If you take a walk to Lonelybeach you can do so it in flip-flops.
The staff at Saras was extrodernary good and the couple who runs the resort was really taking care of their staff and was allways around the guests to help up.

La prise en charge du quai a l’hôtel, la communication est rapide et efficace. L’accueil est super. Le personnel est à votre écoute. Je remercie encore au monsieur de l’accueil de nous avoir amener notre affaire oublié sur l’île.
Malgré le personnel était formidable, nous avons passé nos 3 nuits dans une chambre qui, le prix n’est pas du tout à la hauteur du standing. La propreté n’était pas là. Manque quelques équipements dans la chambre (mais ça on le savez) mini bar, bouilloire. Dans l’ensemble nous avons passé un bon séjour mais bien dommage que le standing de la chambre n’est pas du tout ce qu’on attendait.

Check in was great with good communication and I was met and taken from the port. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. This was a good start.
I was offered the BBQ on the first night. I picked the pawns for 9$ thought it was a good choice as it is by the sea. The plate came with 6 tasty prawn, the smallest potato, a tiny garnish of salad and a quarter of sweetcorn. It felt like a starter so I asked if I could have more salad they said no I needed to order the 18$) bigger size of prawns for double the price (so I went next door to Bamboo Jam (food was great well prices and well portioned). The food and add on are very expensive compared to the rest of the island.. Breakfast was nice with a selection to choose from. I was surprised about the 2 coffee rule… one guest is only allowed 2 filter coffees (hot milk is another 2 dollars per cup) the third filter coffee you are charged for (I declined the third coffee out of principle) Considering I hired an entire bungalow to myself (which usual has two guests and would be allowed 2 breakfast and 4 coffees). I thought this was very annoying.
The cleaning policy I have included a picture of what I was greeted with. I would imagine this is from when it had a more backpacker budget customer, requesting cleaning when it is a very sandy beach and you can not flush toilet paper down the toilet, resulting in urine and fecal matter tissue sitting in a bin in your room (until you ask for it to cleaned). This also applies for toilettes where you are greeted with a sign saying please ask for more when it runs out (pictures added) If you are paying over a 100 dollars a night for a bungalow, I do not expect to do this it should be done automatically. I was there 8 days and I asked the room to be cleaned twice. I checked and after both times the toothpaste rings had not been cleaned around the sink. So the sink was not cleaned correctly in 8 days.
On the whole as the Sara resort is run now I would not recommend it to anyone for the above reasons and I feel it is very expensive for Cambodia.

When we arrived our room was upgraded, which was a nice surprise. The location is beautiful and the pool and beach areas are wonderful. The seafood bbq is delicious and there were plenty of breakfast options (as part of the complimentary breakfast), although having to pay $2 extra to upgrade coffee from instant to espresso, is ludicrous!
The rooms were not cleaned, unless you asked each day. At this price point, basic things such as cleaning and emptying the bins, sweeping the sandy floor should be a minimal expectation. With the exception of a few staff members, there was no interaction or friendliness from the staff. And the managers, along with some of the on duty expat bar staff were drinking alcohol from 9am and being quite raucous (ie, swearing loudly across the pool area). Not a very professional impression.
The beds and pillows are pretty hard and the room had a very damp smell. Floor mats and hand towels would have been a nice touch.

La ubicación es buena y las instalaciones son bastante correctas
Nos vendieron la isla como un sitio de tranquilidad y la música por la noche es estresante. Además suena una música en el bar y otra en la piscina y se mezclan todo el tiempo. Por suerte puedes ir a cenar a otros sitios con mucha más calma.
Las camas son incómodisimas, necesitas masajes sí o sí al dormir alli.
El personal es muy diverso o sonríen todo el tiempo y otros ni te miran de cara.
El precio es muy elevado para el servicio que dan
Por contra hay bastantes actividades en la isla y te las ofrecen todas.
