Matterhorn view right from the dining room. Fully equipped kitchen needs, oven, microwave, dishwasher.... Got fireplace. Room is clean, big and new.

if I really have to pick any negative but it would be easily ignored by us because how good the property was and it’s location and that was the sound of water flowing next to the apartment but that was very very minor issue for us.

Comfy beds, great location, spacious. I was not planning to write a negative review as the apartment itself was great. However, the host has accused me of lying to Booking.com and they suggested I leave a review, noting that the listing is incorrect and the host does not choose to update it. There is NOT a washer and dryer in the kitchen. It is in the basement and is shared with the rest of the building. It is on a sign-up basis, and is not available on weekends. All slots for our entire stay were already booked the day we arrived. You must have 2.50 in Swiss francs per load. I do not appreciate lies about our stay. The listing needs to be updated to have an honest list of amenities - we are a family of 5 that was traveling with carry-on only, and carefully chose our lodgings to meet our requirements. Plenty of listings in multiple countries, as well as other listings in Zermatt, mention when the laundry is communal and paid vs included in the room. In over 20+ stays in the last five years this has been the only dishonest one. I did contact the host about the laundry situation and was told that all laundry in Switzerland is communal (I have screen caps in case they dirty delete since they said we never contacted them). We made do washing in the sink and hanging out to dry.

The listing makes no note of the tourist tax either, and there was no communication in messages about it even though the host provided check-in instructions. It would have been simple to include this information. We arrived to a bill on the table that had to be paid in Swiss francs or on the Twint app, which is only available to those with a Swiss bank account. It was a hassle to be surprised by this upon arrival as we only had euros which were accepted everywhere else in Zermatt. I contacted them about the tourist tax, which we left on the table for the amount agreed upon in both francs and euros. Every other host we have ever stayed with in a city with a tourist tax has let us know in advance about it, met us to take the money, make change, and provide a receipt (and we've stayed a lot of places, including another city in Switzerland after our stay in Zermatt). Surprise - the host is now accusing us of not paying the tourist tax once we complained about the inaccurate listing. We are honorable people who pay our debts (even when we had no advance notice) and the lies are appalling. Not providing a receipt seems like a way to retaliate against any complaints so you can pretend you didn't get the money. Fix your listing to be honest and not trick people with amenities that are not provided (the listing also shows shampoo and toiletries - we had our own, but these were not provided either, so just a heads up). Show up and do your job as a host and provide receipts. The fair rating is for the apartment and location itself.

We loved the location and the view. The communication with the owner was super easy.

Nice location along the river with view of the Matterhorn. Quiet area. Nice balconies with chairs. Loved the view despite the crane in front of the iconic mountain.

Would recommend a reminder about the requirement of leaving a daily tax per person per day in cash on check out- Would be helpful to have instructions on use of oven controls- Bedding for sofa bed was not easy to find- It is under one of the twin beds in drawers.

The place is comfortable, well located and clean.

I have been to Zermatt three times now and this location was by far the best. You could not get a better view of the Matterhorn. I loved sitting on the coach looking at the mountain. Wonderful location!

The apartment is excellent, very warm and comfortable, with splendid view on Matterhorn. It is very near to the gondola and to the train Station. Highly recommended.
