Llamamos como 5 veces y no nos pusieron toalla.

The view and activities!
The room have a problem with the bathroom and the first day don’t have any towels in the room.

Only the beach .
They give you the uncleaned room, full of hair from the previous guests, the counter top all dirty, the a la carte restaurants, especially the Mexican, the terrible food that you couldn't even swallow because it tasted so bad, in the Japanese restaurant with cockroaches crawling under the table, the French and Italian restaurants do not have air conditioning nor does the buffet, horrible heat inside them; A single buffet, there are not enough places to eat inside it, they take a long time to replace the food that has run out, some of the food tasted old and was slimy, they tell you that they will bring you the drinks and they never bring them to you You have to ask 5 times and they still ignore you, the sockets in the room and the telephone do not work, the room access cards are constantly blocked and you have to go to the reception every day to have it activated , the refrigerator in the room was broken, the towel service did not give us new towels if we did not ask for them, only one of the two pools has a swim-up bar. It is a very basic resort for what you pay and the customer service is terrible.

we was there for three night without air conditioning, not even a fan a primum room that we have, other things food it not the best, very cheap food, other than that we enjoy it everything else.
we have nice view and space in our room, we did love that.

Great beach access and great location
Air condition did not work, had two separate leaks coming from the bathroom ceiling, the toilet would not flush, could not sleep because we had to keep the room door open as well as the patio door just to get some kind of air circulating because it was 90+ degrees… house keeping was great( Rosa is such a nice lady) we had room 3225 and we asked to switch and the front desk told me they couldn’t help and I had to speak to guest service. Once there she sent me back to the front and they told me they had no other rooms available. This was my Second stay being that I was there in December which was a total opposite experience as to the reason why I came back for my birthday. I tried to find another neighboring resort but everyone else was way out of my price range because I had paid for this room already (almost $800.00 usd) and with this horrible experience they refused to refund me my money!! Unfortunately I would never stay at this resort again and I’m sorry but due to my experience I would find it extremely hard to recommend it to someone.

the landscaping, the grounds and the staff!!! rooms were old, pool closed to early. food stopped at 10. entertainment was blah. the staff is what made me not complain because the facility itself was maybe for retires not empty nesters. I would not return but I will still hold faith in barcelo properties 🥰🥰

Mostly the location. It is a quiet resort during the week on weekends it gets overcrowded.
The food in the buffet is good but needs more variety. Some of the staff are in groups talking instead of taking care of the guests personally I don't mind that, but I am sure someone will complain.

Shortage of pool towels. Hard to book the restaurants, only got one. A dangerous exit at one of the elevators, instead of flush with the floor, it had a ramp with a drop off at the sides. I stepped out and to the side to let others on and had a nasty fall. At 73, I'm thankful I didn't break anything There should be railings.

Arrived evening. Sheets had blood stains all over. Mini bar empty. Called front desk they said we have to wait to morning for them to change sheets. Discusting. We moved to different hotel.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Food choices were generally good though sometimes a little cold. Pool 1 was great. Setting was wonderful.
Furniture needs some attention or upgrading. Noise from the pool while in the room was disturbing. Queueing for pizza in Don Simon took a long time.

This property is just another resort by the beach.
I know my stay was on the last weekend of the year but this hotel knew how many guests they had (it was fully booked) and they were not ready for it, short on staff, short on beach towels, lack of attention for requests from the guests, just to name a few. The food was not impressive.

we did not had towels for body 3 DAYS , for swimming pool they provide us only once in 4 DAYS. they dont have towels. the toilet was stuck No one came to fix Even of we called front Office and we have been At the reception 7 times.. So we used another toilet. queue for anything … for coffee specialul, Machine didnt work most of the time, one hour for reservation for restaurant a la carte , and for buffet same ….long queue. very bad managment of hotel . never seen the worst. and No towel provided during entire journey At the hotel . Fed Up Even calin them , they just switch the Phone off .. i contacted customer service from booking … and made them aware about their services. very very very bad . i Felt Like an invisible person . staff rude , No one cares, looks Like everyone is unhappy to be There

We went here with my husband for our honeymonn. It was really fantastic stay. Personnel is always smiling and ready to help. Meals was different every day and delicious, we had large selection of drinks in bars. The stuff is also taking care about entertainment in the resort, every evening were organized animations. If we will ever come back to Dominican Republic we will choose this hotel again!

I like the facilities and all the variety of restaurants. The staff was friendly, the entertainment was very good at the hotel, plenty activities to do around.
I did not like the bathroom, it was not clean enough. I mean it was clean but the glass in the shower was not very clean. The tap in the bath was a little bit rusted.

Room with Superior Ocean view was stunning.
The water at the pool was super warm and nice. It felt like it was heated which is rare.
Food was bland and distasteful everyday at the buffet, except one day when they made chicken satay at the live station. There are no sauces available for you to spice up your food as it was mostly salt and pepper. When asked to add some soya sauce to my egg at the live station- I was denied.
Getting reservation well ahead of time doesn’t work either. It’s a huge resort but the restaurants can barely hold 30 people. I wasn’t able to try anything other than the buffet and snack bar. I tried the pizza bar which was pretty good.
Room air conditioning didn’t work for most of us. my friend was able to get their room changed however upon request. We didn’t make any requests. There’s only one outlet point at the washroom and the dryer doesn’t work. we arrived to an unclean washroom and no towels. When we called room service- they said that it’s been cleaned already. The washroom was very outdated in our building 3. Building 7 did have better washrooms and more updated rooms. The tv is tiny- maybe 25 inches so we didn’t bother using it. Our room phone didn’t work and the lamp beside the table didn’t either. Very limited number of outlets available.
Our safe was broken so we had to store valuables in our carry-on and keep it locked. In our stay of 7 days- our room was cleaned only once. We wanted to get it cleaned again when we went out for excursions and left the sign at the door. We came back to the sign being left inside and the tip money we had left was gone. It was stolen!! Management said they will investigate but that will go nowhere as expected.
The bars have no stools so you have to stand all the time (except the swim-up bar). There is no drink menu so you don’t have a cocktail list to order from. The mango drink and coco loco were good! Also- try the Kandy special! For a tropical country- it was disappointing to have no fresh juices available. Orange juice tasted like watered down bottle juice.
