I booked three rooms for a family holiday and all three loved the location of the hotel

The hotel team were very friendly and helpful and the hotel location was excellent, with a very easy walk into Bergen and to the bus transfer stop. The bed was very comfortable and the buffet breakfast was great, with lots of choice.
The lighting in the room was quite poor, with no main light. The room had a bath, but you could only fill it up using the overhead shower, which was quite bizarre, and the grouting around the bath was grubby and missing in parts.

The location is great. Also, the breakfast was very good, and the breakfast staff were friendly and helpful.
The rooms are old, the shower was not working properly, and the cleaning was not done properly. We always had to ask for extra towels, and the reception staff were not smiling at all and felt like they were working under duress. Service could be much better.
