Great location.
Breakfast was very average. Had to pay for cereal and anything hot even an egg.

The location is great, and the hotel is cute, clean, and offers beautiful views of the canal. The room we stayed in was a good size, and I didn’t notice any signs of wear or anything that looked run-down, which made me feel that the hotel is either relatively new or very well maintained.
The staff were incredibly friendly. They were always ready to help, and I really can’t say enough about how kind and polite everyone was. We also travelled with our dog, and they accommodated him very well, which we really appreciated.
The room service is also very good. They offer a nightly turndown service, with staff coming to prepare the room for the night, make the bed, leave fresh water, and make sure everything is ready for bedtime. It’s definitely a nice touch, although I would consider it an expected service for a five-star hotel.
I can confidently say that the breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast experience I have ever had in my life. I could write a lot about it, but I’ll keep it short: for a five-star hotel in Venice — which means this is by no means a cheap hotel — asking guests to pay €18 extra for something as basic as sliced fruit is honestly hard to understand.
For some people from countries where prices are different, this might not seem outrageous. But from a European perspective, this is quite shocking. Even a three-star hotel would normally include fruit as part of a basic continental breakfast. This is such a basic item that you can get it even at an Ibis Budget.
Basically, their continental breakfast included bread, juice, water, coffee and cappuccino, and all the other items, like cheese, for example, were industrially produced. If you like to eat something a little bit nicer, you would definitely have to pay more — a lot more — to get it.
It honestly felt like a scam, because at some point you just want to eat something fresh and have no choice but to order from the overpriced à la carte menu. It feels like an unusual way of making extra money from guests, and I think it was a shame because it definitely spoiled our experience at the hotel. If it wasn’t for this, it would have been much better.
