Location is quite good and the surrounding is pretty.

The hotel was in a village close to the M62 and though you could hear traffic with window open when you closed the window there was another sliding window which blocked the noise completely we were upgraded to an executive room (which I’m not sure was that executive with wallpaper ripped and tired decor) but it was a big room and had a fridge in which was quite random - bed was very comfortable
When he upgraded us we were not sure if it included the continental breakfast as he mentioned what times breakfast was, we came downstairs in the morning and there was absolutely nothing out on the tables when we enquired he said it’s £8.95 each if you tell me what you want I’ll go and get it this we declined

Very helpful, nice reception staff. Quickly moved us when we raised concerns about our room. Offered snacks, free drink etc. went above & beyond to put things right. Nice quiet room
The hotel is tired & shabby although it seemed to have been painted internally. Our room was in an empty part of the building, icy cold & had a v loud buzzing noise. We complained & were moved to a much nicer, warm room. V odd to have put us in the 1st room when the hotel seemed to be empty! No hot food available which we were made aware of after we booked & paid.
