Room was clean and staff very friendly, superb location. Restaurant on property. Relatively decent breakfast. Front desk staff were very accommodating with check-in and check-out times.
Room next door had tv on all night and the sound came through the adjoining wall keeping me awake all night.

Breakfast really good standard. Eat in resteraunt and the food was top notch and reasonable.
Convenient to town centre , but quiert.

Historical building with lots of character. Bedroom very spacious with a comfortable king bed.
Breakfast choice was very good and cooked food was done to a high standard.
Bathroom fittings were not all well maintained - the shower temperature control wasn’t working (end of piece that should turn to regulate temperature fell off in my hand) and the water was so hot I could barely manage to shower. Water also leaked onto the floor under the screen.

Staff were lovely. Bedrooms was clean and functional.
Skeleton staff. Hard to raise someone. Bathroom in room 8 was dated and shabby - needs urgent attention. Bath chipped and sharp, major crack in bath (badly) filled with silicon. Sink worn and broken. Shower attachment did not work. Restaurant did not have one vegetarian gluten free option for main course and the ‘gluten free option’ for the crème brûlée and shortbread biscuit was …. Crème brûlée minus the biscuit (but full price charged). The hotel felt like it was running on empty and rather sad.
