Shore View Hotel

Clean room, friendly staff, great value, good breakfast

We had a sea view room and the road is very noisy. No double glazing and only a small window opens which you need open but didn’t sleep very well as there is constant traffic

Location was great as were the staff there. Sea view was there even with a slightly small window but appreciated nevertheless. The hotel offered parking permits for a good price as well which was great.

Not the fault of the hotel but it did feel a bit like a YHA bunkhouse. Also be aware there is no dedicated parking if that is something that is important.

nice room with a sea view. bath was a bit small but functional. bed was comfy.

breakfast was a complete let down. i went to breakfast at.8.15. there was a queue waiting to enter. I waited there for 10 mins. still in the queue. I noticed there were people just sat chatting after having their breakfast looking at us. Surely when they have finished and they can see a queue is waiting to have theirs, they should have the decency to vacate the restaurant. I revisited at 8.45, 15 mins before it closed. I went to the breakfast buffet area. The food didnt look very nice. The bacon was in a tray with what looked like fat, the sausages were grey and looked uncooked, the tomatoes were burnt to a crisp, no hash browns. I had to ask for the beasns to be replaced. Sadly I declined breakfast on this occasion as its appearance was not very appetising.
