Grande Vue Hotel

We absolutely loved our stay. The hotel has a beautiful aesthetic, from the exterior and gardens through to the interiors, with incredible views and a fantastic location. Set in beautiful Battery Point, it is conveniently located with easy access to quality cafés, restaurants and everything Hobart has to offer. Despite feeling very luxurious, the hotel also has a real sense of warmth and homeliness. Every detail feels considered, from the soft music, beautiful scent and ambient lighting to thoughtful touches like the guest kitchen where you can help yourself. My sister originally recommended the hotel to us and we are so glad she did. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back. We would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Hobart.

Beautiful renovated building, fabulous location, excellent fresh food on offer

We were on the lower floor and the noise from the room above was very audible. Flushing toilets through the night and voices disturbed the ambience

Amazing views. High quality accommodation. Loved the fresh cakes and open kitchen, to help yourself 24/7. Great access via Kelly Steps to Salamanca. Perfect stay.

The fact the there was nothing to complain about.

It was very clean and the building well maintained.

We got the Montpellier room, which “has views over the garden”. The garden is actually a driveway that people walk past often so there’s no sense of privacy in the room. We had strangers looking in, even through the pulled-down opaque blinds. To get to the room you need to walk downstairs and it feels like you’re going into a basement, which isn’t a nice entry experience. Perhaps the rooms with views of water provide a good experience, but this room did not.
