Huge room. Comfortable bed. The swimming pool was fantastic. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They booked us a car to go to the orangutang and sun bear sanctuaries which are about half an hour away by car. The ambiance is great - it has a wonderful 1950s vibe to it.
A minor gripe was the lack of a smart tv but no biggie, good opportunity to catch up on my reading. We ate at the restaurant near the swimming pool which doesn’t allow alcohol (fair enough) but it would have been nice to have a glass of wine with dinner. You can have a drink in the bar area of the foyer but that is not enclosed so no air/con. Again, not the end of the world 😊

Beautiful grounds in the forest, wonderful staff, large room.
I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this is without doubt the best.

Breakfast very limited not much variety.
Event on site whilst we were staying meant busy, noisy and spaces not all useable for guests.
