Location and privacy were great! Home had a decent layout so our group could easily spread out. Bathrooms were all very well stocked with plenty of towels which I appreciate with a family. The game room was a cool addition to our weekend away! I enjoyed opening the slider glass doors to hear the brook rumbling as well.

Cleanliness was lacking, a lot of big cobwebs hanging down, ceiling fan in living room had so much dust on it we didn’t dare turn it on! Bathrooms and most obvious things were clean. Home is in desperate need of updating and renovations. Side deck in need of paint and one deck (closed to guests off the back) had fallen off the house. Very blah decor and very little character and charm for a cabin in the woods.

The cabin was very clean with comfortable beds and furniture. Appliances were recently updated. Absolutely no complaints with the appearance, cleanliness or location of the property.

Our problems began upon arrival. We were provided a 10 digit entry code for the front door which was invalid. Our arrival instructions also stated an auxiliary lock box with a key was on the deck, but no access code was provided. Unable to enter the cabin, I called Vacasa. I was given a 4 digit code to enter the front door. The code did not open the door, however it did open the lock box and we were able to obtain a key and enter the home. The next morning, we had no hot water for showers, laundry or washing dishes. I called Vacasa to report the problem and was told a plumber would be called and respond to the hot water issue. I was also told I would receive a call from the plumber advising of an arrival time. By 2 pm the next day, we had not heard from the plumber. We also noticed the bathroom sinks were slow to drain and noticed raw sewage bubbling up in the driveway between the house and street. I called Vacasa again to report the sewer leak and check why the plumber had not come to fix the hot water issue. I was put on hold while the Vacasa representative reviewed the notes from my previous call. She tried calling the plumber but did not make contact. At this point, I requested a partial refund because having no hot water for showers, dish washing and laundry for two of our three days was unacceptable. She told me she would request a refund. Other issues were: 1. Very limited check in and departure instructions. 2. No local TV station for news and weather. 3. TV remote did not work because of batteries (no replacement batteries were provided. 4. Very limited supplies compared to other vacation rentals. 5. Commode lid in downstairs bathroom was broken

It was a wonderful stay at the Artist Brook Escape. The location was amazing and the the house had a lot of atmosphere .

The area rugs in the living rooms and hallway need to be replaced and new locks on the doors.

Didn't seem to be well cared for. The deck and steps needed to be scraped or sanded. There was a lot of loose, cracked paint. The yard was overgrown. The bathroom sink faucet was very loose. There was a soap bar left in the shower from a previous renter. Yuck!

Everything was great. Fully equipped, comfortable and spacious. Will definitely book again.

The hosts completely ghosted me when I asked for a partial refund because the property wasn't ready in time and we had to wait for the cleaners. The place wasn't very clean. They did an ok job. There were bugs in the downstairs bedrooms, from centipedes to spiders and beetles so that we couldn't sleep there. There was a leak that ruined my bag in front of the closet downstairs. It's the worst place I have ever stayed in by far.
