Our stay at Laguna Vista was absolutely fantastic! Beautiful property on a beautiful island! We'll be back!!

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Tony & Jo when we visited Utila late July of this year. I should back up a little bit and say that I had rented one of they're apartments for my grand daughter for six weeks so she could complete her instructor diving class's. Not only were they so helpful in working out her financing they did me a favor by looking out for her. We stayed at the Laguna Vista main floor had a beautiful pool steps away from the front door along with a full bar and outdoor grill. From the moment we landed on Utila Tony and Jo were the hosts with the most! We arrived tired and grimy from over 24hrs of travel and were greeted with a warm welcome and big hugs. They loaded us and our things into their golf cart (which we promptly nicknamed) and the tour began. We arrived at our accommodations and could not have been happier. The home is spacious, nicely decorated, well laid out and comes with all the amenities you could want on a tropical vacation. Every window you look out offers views of tropical plants, jungle or fields. The home was very clean and the beds were super comfy. However, the champa by the pool is so inviting on warm evenings it's impossible to want to sit anywhere else. And the pool itself with its sparkling sweet water is over the top, perfectly refreshing and peaceful to sit by with fountains and all. It's also just the right depth to stand with a bevy! All this made our vacation feel like a tropical paradise and only a few minutes stroll to town. But the very best part of this vacation rental isn't any of this...it's your hosts. From borrowing a phone to call for pizza (even after we weren't staying with them anymore) to answering numerous questions, assisting us in a hotel in San Pedro Sula for our departure, stoking our fridge prior to our arrival, touring us about town and entertaining us with good conversation. Thanks for everything Tony and Jo, you are two amazing people and we hope to visit you again soon!!!

Perfect tiki hut to loung alone or in a group around the table. Only a 20L "Toc-Toc" (cab) ride to town down the hill, but the walk wasn't even slightly troublesome. Tony and Jo will make sure you feel great and are having the best time.

Our group of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) found this very comfortable for a 3 night stay on Utila. It's away from the "town" but easily accessible within a 10 minute walk. The property was clean and well appointed with all the conveniences of home (plenty of towels, dishes, coffee maker, tv, internet, etc.) The owners were very helpful both before and during our stay in providing an introductory tour of town, suggestions for rainy day activities and helping us with last minute travel arrangements. We only wish the weather was better to be able to enjoy the pool more! We would definitely stay here again!

The house and property is exactly as advertised. The hosts are fantastic. They helped us rent a golf cart at a Great discount, arranged private flights to Utila from Roatan and helped with all aspects of our stay on Utila. The pool and cabana area is definitely the hangout spot at Laguna Vista!

Best vacations ever! Tony and Jo are wonderful hosts. Great place to chill away from the buzz of the main street and also very close to get there when needed. Loved it!

I have been pondering for some time how best to summarize our incredible vacation to Utilia. It starts and finishes with the 5 star (Honduras style that is:) hospitality Tony & the lovely Jo showed us (quite literally, they were there to greet us when we arrived and departed). EVERYTHING and more was arranged even before we arrived. Transportation to Utila from Roatan, beers and groceries in the fridge for when we arrived into our very well appointed Laguna Vista accommodations, romantic catered dinner, scuba diving, island tours and ever important daily insights and recommendations of the "ins and outs", things to do, etc while vacationing in Utila. It is really better than the pictures.My wife and I stayed at both Laguna Vista and The Gardens which were definitely some of the very best accommodations on the entire island - you can truly sense the "pride of ownership" that T&J have in their livelihoods. Without Tony & Jo's ever gracious help, our trip would not have been one of my truly best vacations ever. I don't often say this about all the great destinations I have been fortunate enough to visit (because I crave "new adventures"), but I WILL BE BACK to Utila and that will forever start with Tony & Jo! Please and thank-you Tony & Jo. It is through the two of you that we now have all these fond and wonderful memories. Until our paths cross again. Well done.

What to say--great place! Roomy, clean, well lit, good bathroom, well stocked kitchen. I couldn't find a vegetable peeler, and I didn't bring a hair dryer thinking there would be one there. So nice to have a pool to cool off in the afternoon. Be prepared for Spanish speaking taxi drivers, though they give you a cell phone for the week and the taxi listed in the contacts speak English. Easy walk down hill to town, but after snorkeling, eating and drinking it was easier to pay $3 for a taxi back up the hill.

My first visit to Honduras was a pleasure due to Tony and Jo! From the moment I stepped on the dock from the ferry I was at home. The lovely Laguna Vista property is located in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to town. Although you are away from the noise of bars and restaurants they are less than a 10 minute walk away. It is also conveniently located to grocery stores within walking distance. The apartment, and all Tony & Jo's properties are clean and feature air flow from three directions that allows you comfort without running air conditioning. There is cable, free wifi, fresh apple bananas and flowers, clean high quality linens. Purified water is provided in a 5 gallon jug and will be replaced almost before needed. Coffee, sugar and creamer is provided so you can retire to your room upon arrival without worry for the next day. Tony and Jo are an amazing resource for Utila activities. Tony has done diving all around the island and can hook you up with a dive shop that can provide whatever dive services you require. Some dive shops even pick you up at the properties and drop you off when all is done.

We had such a great time staying at Laguna Vista. We were able to walk to town, enjoy a bakery close by and had transportation to the dive shop. We enjoyed the pool and the palapa area by the pool. This was our second trip and we are already planning to return. Tony and Jo were the best hosts.

Simply the best house in all Utila With its refreshing pool and confort makes your stay the best on the island and with the atention and kindness of the most wonderfull hosts Tony & Jo makes it the perfect place to vacation on. We love Laguna Vista!

Staying on the beach is awesome but at some point it is awesome to move into the village itself; walk the streets and see what Utila Town is all about; for that the Laguna Vista is fantastic, especially if you have small children. Having the pool and the champas makes for a very relaxing way to chill out and de-stress.
