My husband and I stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor. Margaret had arranged a transfer from the airport for us which was great as our flight was in the evening. The apartment was spotlessly clean and contained everything required for a self catering break. The decor is very tasteful, a real home from home. We did not use the pool as weather was a bit cold but it would be perfect on a sunny day, with plenty of loungers, umbrellas and seating. It was very clean and well maintained. Margaret had left us a welcome pack so we could make a sandwich etc on our arrival. We were very grateful for this after our journey. The villa is in a peaceful area with access to all bus routes and walking distance to lovely beach, although uphill on way back!!! But plenty of buses that are very cheap. Margaret was a perfect host and if we return to Malta we will definitely come back to this property.

The property was exactly what we needed for a lovely break in Malta. The apartment was clean and well equipped, as well providing a fantastic outdoor space with a pool and loungers. We didn't have a car but this wasn't a problem as it was only a short walk to the bus stop which provided easy transport to the local beaches. Margaret was very welcoming and made us feel very at home!

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday on Malta at Margaret's villa and home in Millieha. We stayed in the 2-bedroom ground floor flat which opens directly onto the pool area. The flat was very clean and comfortable, equipped with everything that you need for a holiday to cater for a family including safe, private parking spaces on the property itself. The pool area is wonderful and very well looked after with plenty of sunloungers. Margaret is a lovely host - warm, friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is perfectly located within walking distance of a very good supermarket and the town centre which has a selection of cafes, restaurants, shops and banks. Mellieha bay lies a short driving distance away, good for swimming and with a selection of beach eateries. The ferry to Gozo is only a 12-minute drive away. I feel we made an ideal choice and can wholeheartedly recommend this property to other holidaymakers who wish to have a cosy and homely place to stay with the options to self cater or eat out and swim from dawn til dusk. The apartment and position was great. The pool was kept immaculate. Margaret was a great host. Any concerns however small we're dealt with immediately. Malta is beautiful and everyone is friendly. We will visit Malta again soon.

We stayed at the this beautiful villa the last two weeks of March 2019. We had originally booked the ground floor two bedroom apartment but arrived to find that we had been upgraded to a 3 bedroom apartment on the first floor with a wrap round balcony and stunning views. We were also greeted with one of the best welcome packs we have every received. The apartment was beautiful, tastefully decorated, immaculately clean and really well equipped. Margaret, the owner was extremely helpful and provided much local knowledge. We made plenty of use of the BBQ and pool area. The villa is well situated just of the Main Street leading to the village of Mellieha, which is full of lovely restaurants, small bars and lots of small shops with friendly helpful staff. The island its self is very beautiful and the neighbouring small island of Grozo is well worth a visit. Margaret and Joe made us feel very welcome and we would most definitely return.

Reallly enjoyed our 4 days stay. Margaret met and gave us all the Info we needed. The appartment was well equipt and had nice areas to sit out and enjoy the sun. The pool was nice but we didnt use it as the temperature this time of year was a little cold.. You can walk into mellieha, but it is better if you have a car. Would definitely go back if visiting the area again.

Just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks trip feeling very happy and rested! We had never been to Malta before so we weren’t sure exactly where the best place to stay was. The villa (based in mellieha) is perfectly situated to explore the island. As the bus links are so good I wouldn’t imagine it was necessary to hire a car but we did as we had a toddler in tow and made it easier to get around. Margaret was a fantastic host and even left us a few crucial supplies, which was extremely helpful as we arrived quite late at night. She was also on hand to ask any questions we had and any help we needed. She also set us up with a baby cot, high chair and baby bath. The basement apartment, which we had, was set up with everything you might want and there was a great little shop at the top of the hill selling everything you might need (VALYOU). The pool is lovely in the warm summer months with plenty of space on the sunloungers. There is also a dining area by the pool with great panoramic views – lovely for enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sun set. There are plenty of restaurants in mellieha itself, L’amigo and Randi were our personal favourites.. fantastic and well-priced traditional Maltese food. Attached to VALYOU is a great little café which is perfect to grab some lunch and does a fantastic takeaway. I would perhaps have some change handy, as the a/c is coin-operated so it’s always useful to have some spare Euros lying around. It’s a great base if you want to really explore Malta but is also really great if you just wanted to do nothing and relax by the pool! It's very tempting to just stay in. My only advice would be, get decent car insurance as the driving can be.. erratic shall we say and everywhere is quite hilly. It didn’t bother us as we found it great exercise between activities. Anywhere you stay in Malta has the potential for a steep hill before you end up in town for the evening. It can be quite nice to have a walk back home after some evening food but I would definitely not bother with any high heels! :) Already missing the lovely food, pool and sun! C'est la 3ème fois que nous passons nos vacances à la Villa Margaret. Les logements sont très bien équipés et très spacieux, le logement pour 4 comprend 2 chambres et 1 salle de bain (celui que nous avions cette année) , ceux pour 6 personnes 3 chambres et 2 salles de bain (loués les années passées). Il ne manque rien : cuisine très fonctionnelle et équipée (four, micro ondes), télévision avec lecteur DVD, Wifi, le linge de maison est fourni (draps, serviettes, torchons) et il est changé toutes les semaines. Les extérieurs sont magnifiques, beaucoup de transats et parasols au bord de la piscine qui est entretenue très régulièrement. Une machine à laver commune est à la disposion des locataires. Margaret la propriétaire est très chaleureuse, prévenante et fait tout pour que que vos vacances soient parfaites et ça toujours été le cas. Mellieha est une ville résidentielle avec tous les commerces : supermarché, primeurs, boulangerie, pharmacies, bars, restaurants....qui sont accessibles à pied à quelques minutes ainsi que les arrêts de bus très nombreux pour visiter Malte ou vous emmener aux bateaux qui partent pour Gozo et Comino, une voiture n'est pas nécessaire. Je recommande vivement cette adresse. Merci Margaret pour tout !

The villa Margaretia was fantastic. It was spacious and very welcoming. The pool was very inviting and myself and family enjoyed swimming in it. The villa was in a very peaceful setting. There was plenty of loungers for all the family to use. The villa itself was very comfortable and it had everything that was required for a self catering holiday. it was a nice touch of Margaret to provide a welcome pack of the basics, this was very much appreciated. There was room for me to park my hire car which was good and gave me peace of mind that it would be safe. The beds were very comfortable and provided all of us peaceful, restful nights sleep. The villa was close to a good supermarket, (valyou) which provided very good food,, this was about 10 minute walk from the villa. Also it is nice walk from the villa into Mellieha where you can walk past churches, shops and restaurants. Margaret (the owner) is very friendly, helpful, willing to put herself out for you if there is anything you need, but once she shows you the villa she leaves you alone to enjoy your holiday. If there were any problems she could be contacted immediately. We did not need to contact her at all during the week we were there. We would like to thank her for a very relaxing,peaceful, restful and friendly accommodation . This made our holiday a fantastic experience. I would recommend this villa to anyone that is looking to holiday in Malta. If we decide to holiday again in Malta we would definitely come back to the villa. . Lovely property quiet but within walking distance to village centre. Very nice spotless spacious apartment with pool and sunbeds and a very nice complimentary welcome fridge pack with milk eggs bread eggs etc on arrival. Very nice touch. Most important ......Bed really really comfortable!

Our stay at this beautiful apartment didn't start well with a 3+hr delay flying from the UK, however once we'd arrived, saw the apartment and had been warmly welcomed by Margaret our holiday began. The location is perfect for touring the island or just walking to the local shops, bakery and fab local Mithna Restaurant. The apartment was very spacious with lots of storage for our things, the pool and outside dining area provided a perfect location for sunbathing or a chilled glass of the local vino. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and will certainly consider coming back again for a holiday or cheeky weekend away in the sun.

Margaret's apartment and pool were perfect for our two children and us. The pool was just right for the kids to be safe and happy with lots of toys for them to play with - they loved it. Our oldest (5) even learnt to swim for the first time! The apartment was beautiful and clean and looked brand-new with everything we could want. Margaret was very responsive to all our needs too. It is in a perfect location near to the shops, bus and restaurants - about 100m away - and the beach at the bottom of the hill. The area is very quiet though and peaceful and just what we needed. We loved having tea and dinner on the patio overlooking the valley.

Margaret made us 15 lads very welcome. It's an extremely lovely villa and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is suitable for anyone. Absolutely superb from start to finish!

The apartment was spotless and the owner was always on hand to help with any queries. We relied on public transport in Malta and the bus stop, supermarkets, shops and restaurants were only a short walk from the apartment. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay in appartement nr 2 of the Villa Margherita. Everything needed is available in the apartment and in tiptop condition. The AC was very nice for heating in the evening, because this March it was still rather cold in Malta. Margaret is a super friendly hostess, thanks for all your little attentions like the food that was waiting for us in the fridge and the taxi that you arranged to pick us up from the airport. The apartment is a 7 minutes walk from the nearest bigger supermarket (Valyou). We certainly recommend this apartment and hope to come back there ourselves.

This was our first visit to Malta, we stayed in the ground floor apartment which was immaculately clean, the apartment is modern but lacks air conditioning making it difficult to sleep at night with the noise of the provided fan constantly in the background. The outside space is very pretty but for the ground floor apartment it does not afford any privacy as it is integrated within the pool area, Mellieha has good restaurants, upstairs in the nearby Cross Keys is a must for superb food but Mellieha is a very very quiet place with no nighttime entertainment and the area is very steep and hilly although a very good bus service is in operation within 5 minutes walking distance. Will Definately visit Malta again but next time it will be somewhere not so hilly and with more nightlife.

We had a great stay in Malta. Margaret was very nice, providing every information to help us. The location in Mellieha is perfect to visit both Malta and Gozo and to avoid the busy area of La Valette. We stayed here with our one year daughter, Margaret provided a baby coat bed, a high chair and small tub. Perfect! Roland

We had a wonderful holiday in what I can only describe as a first class apartment. Our first visit to Malta and we fell in love with it. Lovely area and beaches with restaurants within an easy stroll. Very easy to travel around if you do not wish to hire a car as the bus service is excellent, Thankyou Margaret will definatley come to see you again (and Tony),

Me and my friends stayed at the villa for a week and we loved it! The apartment is really nice, modern and clean. The beach is only few minutes by bus and buses are regular. The village of Mellieha is really cute and has loads of nice restaurants. Margaret is also very nice and helpul. I have nothing negative negative to say about your stay. I will return!

Marvellous holiday home as we felt like at home. Spacious and spotless and large flat for a family with children. Nice swimming-pool. Car park. Very convenient place to find shops in the local area. Use of a car can be helpful to see and visit this beautiful island. Charming owners.

This is the perfect villa and place to chill out and relax. Beautiful and very spacious apartment. It is home from home in every way from the accommodation and cleanliness of it all. The owner and family are living nearby for any assistance if required. The resort is like stepping back in time and has a very laid-back feel to it all. Everything is nearby if you want it from shops to bars and restuarants and beaches. Perfect place to stay and also very accessible to the whole island if you want. Local buses can take you anywhere so a car is not required. Would definetely recommend Margherita Villa to everybody whether is it a family or girles or couples holiday. Will definetely be back as we didnt want to leave.

Having stayed in Malta annually for the last twenty years, we felt the need of a change from five star hotels to a more relaxed and personal environment. In October 2009(Half term), we decided to stay for one week at the Villa Margareta and it was a refreshingly pleasant experience. The Villa was very homely and spacious, extremely clean and well presented. We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly face of Margaret, who had telephoned us in the UK, in the morning of our travel to wish us a safe journey. The facilities were excellent for the price that was paid and is exactly as advertised on line. Situated close to the tourist area of Mallia, it is surprisingly quite in its beautifully elevated location on a quiet residential estate. Margaret and her staff are always on hand if you require any assistance, however are not present for you to feel uncomfortable. Their off road parking is a blessing within Malta, especially within the peak season. So to recap, after a very enjoyable week with our two children we recommend this little home from home so highly that we are due to return later in the year.

I can tell you that Villa Margherita is EXACTLY as you see online. The accommodations are clean, neat and tidy. The pool is sparkling clean and the grounds are immaculate. Margaret and her staff are on the premises and will help with problems and give you sound advice. And best of all is the location. The town of Mellieha is magically magnificent and Villa Margherita is close to supermarkets, stores, bars and restaurants and the wonderful bus service. So if you are in doubt as to where to stay in Malta look no further than Villa Margherita.

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Margeritha. The apartment was nice and clean and when the luggage was unpacked, we felt at home immediately. Good space, cable-TV with a wide range of channels, big fridge and freezer, books and brochures in the living room among other things. The pool area was really nice and just outside the door! The kids loved that as much as we did and there were not 10 million rules of what to do or not to do. You could for example play with a ball in the pool or even go for a late swim (if the pool wasn't to be cleaned). The landlords were friendly and caring.The enviroment was peaceful and the view really nice. All these elements contributed to a great, relaxing and friendly atmosphere and we really recommend this concept.

We were two couples that stayed at Villa Margherita for 9 nights and it was a dream. Large space, good outdoor facility, very clean ( out and indoor) and excellent landlords ready to give tips on, were to eat, were to go, and to give information about their beautiful island.
