The Sonder in Detroit was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. Great location and the studio apartment was beautiful. Very modern and had everything we needed. Will definitely stay at a Sonder in the future!

This place is located in an amazing spot to be able to walk to everything which me and my husband love to do when we visit somewhere! The pictures don’t match what the place actually looks like but that doesn’t take away from how amazing this place actually is. This is more of a studio set up so as long as your ok with that, you are going to enjoy this place as much as what we did.

We came for the Morgan Wallen concert and eas able to walk the city and to ford field no problem! (With heels) TIP: make sure to read parking info in email thoroughly before your stay and the 222 address parking is WAY closer and easier despite what the GPS may tell you! Thanks Sonder, we approve!

Unfortunately I did not enjoy my stay here. I was originally placed in the wrong unit (a room that did not at all resemble the one I booked) which was particularly inconvenient arriving late my first night. I had two other friends staying in the building who both booked queen rooms, which were less expensive but significantly more spacious and luxurious than my king room- the only difference was they had a slightly smaller bed. There was almost no place to store clothing in my unit, just one very small closet. Others staying in the building had a huge closet and chests of drawers in their less expensive units. There was nowhere comfortable to sit- just a very small corner chair that seemed more like a staging piece than an actual piece of furniture. The essentials closet was almost never fully stocked, so any time I needed a basic restock, I could not find it. It would be nice if the property took the same kind of care in decorating the rooms as they do decorating the lobby; the furniture and finishings in the lobby are of a significantly different standard than what was in placed the rooms. Maybe this would work well for a short stay, but for my long stay it was quite inadequate. If I had to stay here again, I would definitely book a queen room- they are more like one-bedrooms than studios and offer many more storage and seating options for a significantly lower cost.

Great studio in a great location. Easy to get around the city.
