We loved the hotel but not the food. The theme, the bar, availability of coffee etc.
The first night's meal - I swear the meat was bad. Breakfasts (Omelets were so/so) - worse than most hotels we stay at. Coffee drinks were not that great either.

We loved how friendly and helpful the staff was. The location was excellent for our activities and the neighborhood was so very quiet. We were able to walk to almost every activity with using Lyft for one dinner reservation. We also like how close it is to the Performing Arts area.
The cost of parking is high at $64 a day but we found a lot a few blocks away that could use and stay within our budget. The Slate is so close to 16th Street and the Free Ride so that was very convenient. We absolutely loved the old school feel as it was so unique.

Great location
This hotel is located right next to the Convention Center, so It is ideal if you travel for work, but for some reason hotel management is not able to provide tax invoice if you make booking at Booking.com
As a result I was not able to get necessary documentation for my books.
Customer support at Booking.com did not help and advised to contact hotel. Hotel told that I should retrieve tax invoice from Booking.com
