The cottage is nice but the remote control doesn't work on the living room smart TV so it took away the benefit of have the full house because we couldn't use the TV. On the booking.com site, I thought I was booking at $130 per night. They show the total fees on the left side of the page which I don't usually look at. I scrolled to the bottom and pressed book and I had no idea that I paid $596 for TWO DAYS! until after I paid for the booking. I feel totally scammed. I tried to cancel and I got a run around with both booking.com and the property. I will probably never use booking.com again. $195 cleaning fee for two days is ridiculous, plus a bunch of other fees. Total scam. It should show cleaning and fees estimated at time of booking, not a bait and switch by showing just nightly rate. I would be happy if I had paid $185-190 total per night. $300 per night when I found it listed at $130 is garbage.

Very comfortable and well located between coast and city. Portland was a pleasant surprise we really enjoyed our stay
