Hyatt Place Panama City Beach - Beachfront

The property was in a great centralized location and the beach front access made it super easy with kids

We were under the impression based on what we read on booking that beach chairs were included in our stay. As of May 2026 they now use a service and charge $70 a day for two chairs and an umbrella. It would have been nice to know this as we would have packed more for the beach than we did. The mini fridge did not work the entire time. We had maintenance come up and work on it and it still did not work.

Beautiful hotel, right on the beach and a great restaurant and a Starbucks coffee bar.

I wish it had a sky bridge from the hotel to the parking garage across the street.

Beach and pool: both were high quality. I loved the Gulf view from my hotel room and how close it was to the pet beach. I went there with my dog every single day! Quality of the room was top notch - all great. No complains.

People reserving chairs with towels. Typically all the chairs were "booked" by someone, and sometimes nobody showed up to use them for a couple of hours. The hotel didn't really enforce any rules on this. Breakfast is OK by US hotel standards, but with a few improvements it could be much better. It's mostly carbs. I wish there were more protein options and some veggies. From protein perspective there are two egg options (scrambled and boiled), plus either ham or sausage, and no cheese. Adding veggies + one more protein instead of unhealthy carbs would make a lot of difference.

I love the location of Hyatt . It’s right next to Alvin’s island has great shopping centers and food around this area.

I did not like that some of the staff at the front desk were just rude . I have used this vacation spot since Hyatt has opened there doors . When they first opened they had amazing customer service/support . It has gone down over the years . I arrived at the hotel 7 hours late already had booked a room when I got there it was not available they put me in a room that didn’t accommodate me . I went to the front desk the next day they gave me a new the one I originally booked . We stayed 10 days . I wanted a beach front they didn’t have anything available I asked every morning for like 4 days and the lady at the desk wouldn’t look or anything she just told me no there was nothing available. Well this sweet lady I wish I could remember her name she got my personal phone number and called me with a room available because she had saw that the lady that was working with her would just tell me no wouldn’t check or anything . I also don’t like that when you walk across the road back from Alvin Island you can’t see if there are any cars coming I think it would be nice if they hung a big mirror up to see because people do not care in that area and they will hit you !!!!! I think it’s very dangerous.
