Overall this was a great B&B. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there were zero ADA accommodations. I just happened to break my ankle a couple weeks before my trip, so carrying a big suit case up and down stairs (both inside and outside) was not fun. They did offer to carry my bag up to my room upon check in, but they were not around to help at check out. If I hadn’t broken my ankle and wearing a big boot, I probably wouldn’t have even thought about this being an inconvenience, and would have given 5 stars.

The Gables is a magnificent 19th century building. The owners have done a great job of decorating and restoring to reflect the period of the home. My wife has dietary restrictions, and the staff fully accommodated her. Breakfast is served at eight, but Cesar gladly fed us at 6:30 so we could catch a flight. The grounds are beautiful, with a wraparound porch. Off street parking is available. Location is excellent, with a trolley stop right in front of the house. Good restaurant selection within an easy walk.
Bottom line: this is one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. I would love to stay there again, and eagerly encourage friends and family. Just an exceptional place with personalized service run by people who truly do whatever they can to accommodate their guests. Cesar is an extremely friendly guy as well!

The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful, maybe overly so. The breakfast was fine. I would call it "fancy food." Not my kind of thing. There climate control in the room was good, but the bathroom was difficult to control as it was on the top floor with no fan that worked. The bed were firm and the pillows good. It might be good to note the rooms location on the booking. I may not have booked a 3rd floor room for my elderly mother.
