Very cool hotel. Fantastic staff. A little noisy with bars downstairs and nearby trains, but that wasn't a surprise.

This hotel is in the center of the Flag district. All services were available since the downtown offerred all.

Nice hotel very clean, really cool bar and surrounding downtown area. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a really nice place to stay if you’re ok with an older hotel. Its location is fabulous and the service is excellent. Walking distance to everything related to shopping and food.

I love this hotel. It can be noisy, due to the lively nightlife, but this is my go-to whenever I'm in Flagstaff (at least once a year.)

Hotel monte Vista location is ideally located in downtown Flagstaff, the train station is a very short walk away.
The were friendly and the rooms clean. E did not eat at the hotel's restaurant but did hang out at the main bar a few times during our stay.

Nice comfy bed . Cool bar that was super busy downstairs . Great location.

Great service from the employee from New York, she was excellent. The parking is a joke! Not accommodating for guests of the hotel. However, this is not any fault of the establishment…

Great old hotel, just stayed one night.

The hotel has half the number of parking spaces as it does rooms. Most nights bar guests and employees will park in one of the 16 spaces as the hotel does not check for parking passes. You cannot park on the street overnight as they will tow from 3A - 6A so the only option is the city garage at $36/nt.

Room very tiny. Bed definitely not a queen size bed. And having a fire escape right outside the window and people using it was a bit unnerving.

For a historic "retro" stay, it was great. Fantastic location downtown with super easy walking distance to good food, shops, train station, local attractions. The legendary hotel cocktail lounge was "bumpin" both nights with nice folks. If your interest are in this area, then punt the driving! This is the place to stay.

Had a great stay at Hotel Monte Vista, we will definitely return! A special thank you to Blake, who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience.

This is a historic hotel in old town Flagstaff. From our 4th floor room we enjoy train after train rumbling by. The Lotus restaurant just next door has excellent sushi and Asian cuisine. We ordered take out to eat in our room and were disappointed to find no wasabi or ginger in or bag. It is an old hotel ..... our room, the Humphry Bogart room, has a small bathroom and shower and no mini fridge. Also the wifi does not work on the fourth floor so we used our phone hot spot.

We've stayed at the Monte Vista many times and have loved its charm. It's very clean and more comfortable than it looks. That being said, this time was a bummer. No hot water at all!! Morning or evening. Sat at the bar with the entrance saying "Cocktails" and watched 3 bartenders completely ignore us at 6:30pm on a Saturday evening. There were maybe 4 people sitting at the bar. They just ignored us while they stood around chatting for 15 minutes before we left. It was weird! It's not normally like that. Sunday morning I go down to the lobby for coffee and there is none. The guy at the desk says 5 min. Another group of people say they've already been waiting 8 minutes and it's been like this all morning. The coffee was transparent. You could see through it! The bar next to the lobby has coffee but by 10am they were only serving drinks. No coffee. I along with other guests couldn't understand why they wouldn't make coffee we could buy in the morning and at least have more than 1 pot out for guests if it was complementary? Eventually, the kid behind the desk started saying he'd make some more and just never did get up and make anymore. He just sat in front of his computer doing who knows what. We're all standing in the lobby in our pj's looking at eachother wondering how a hotel can't have coffee available to just purchase in the morning when it's 25• outside. Check in was fast and easy. The room was charming and comfortable. But we won't be back.

Hotel has tons of charm and character - would always prefer this so some cookie cutter hotel chain. But for the price some of the amenities in the room were lacking - hairdryer barely worked and when brought to the attention of the front desk staff was pretty much ignored. Cocktail lounge in the lobby rocked!! But also, it rocked, so it can be pretty noisy.

a perfect small comfortable real hotel - a joy to take a break from the generic boring "comforts" of corporate amerika.

Older property, but you know that going in.. could use some updating. Overall decent place in a great location.

We love staying in downtown Flagstaff and the Hotel Monte Vista is located tight in the middle of all the restaurants and shopping, so you can walk to everything. The hotel is very cool and historic, so you let things like, tiny showers and having the sink in the bedroom slide.

The front desk assistant was super sweet. We always stay there and the staff is mostly why. And because it’s haunted supposedly and my misses loves the thought of it. As long as the Monte Vista is in business we will stay there when visiting Flagstaff. Cheers.

The day we stayed at the hotel it was freezing cold and the room did not have a heater
Pillows were disgusting.
When I asked the staff why the rooms where so cold and there was not heating she responded “yeah! They are cold aren’t they”

The hotel was nostalgic and with the huanted history, it made for a great stay. The rooms are small, but they preserve the nostalgic feel of the 1920’s. Only complaint was parking. Definitely not enough parking and you can’t park in the street over night. Public parking can be costly for a multiple day stay. For two days we paid an extra 72.00 just to park. If the parking could be better situated, I would have given 5 stars.

The only reason this property isn't getting one star is because the location was fantastic and I actually like the appearance of the hotel the service was awful. I won't be returning.

Overall stay was great. I loved the nightlife in the hotel. Great bar with a separate music venue located on site. We had hot chocolate

Monte V is conveniently located for walking to many shops and restaurants. The music and lights from the night club were quite noticeable in our rooms on floors 2 and 3.

Kindly let us check in early. Free coffee at reception. Charming old hotel with character.

Tiny room is ok but window would not close so freezing cold coming in.

The shower didn’t work in our first room. We had to switch and the bathroom was dirty. On the positive, the bars in the facility were excellent.

Parking was difficult at times, but manageable. Checking out took a little time because no one was at the front. Maybe a basket for room keys so they can be dropped off if no receipt is needed.

The staff were friendly and patient but the room was uncomfortable with no instruction on portable heater that wasn't enough and allowing guest to go on roof top at midnight right at our room, bed dipped and uncomfortable

Had wonderful time- bartenders happy and engaging. Only 1 complaint - very bad coffee. Honestly not the way I would want to start my day. Hope the staff can figure out that glitch and the rest was great!

Very cool historic place. Loved that it was 3 blocks from Amtrak.

No one working the front desk when we got there. Other customers reported having waited 1.5 hours to check-in before us. The only thing good was that the bar was right next to the check-in counter. The hotel is an older historical hotel, but we didnt expect it to be as run down as it was. No air-conditioning in the room which meant we had to crack the window open and we discovered the window was all cracked open and was broken and jist leani g against the wood frame. Sleeping with the window cracked meant the music from the bars/clubs was louder than expected. The mattress wasnt very comfortable. It was neat being in such an old building and in the old town location, but next time we will opt to stay at a more comfortable hotel.

Stayed here before, like location eaf train station and downtown fun spots. Love the history of the building.

Had a great stay. Was in 309 loved it. But the walls are thin and u can hear everyone in the street all night long being loud as fk waking u up. But enjoyed it anyway

Hotel was in desperate need of restoration/renovations as the room was not in the best condition. The chairs to sit on, out of the 3 available 2 were not able to be used. These would not support the weight of an infant. Room 102 was a great disappointment. The parking is nonresistance and is not in an area that states "safety" for the automobile. But the hotel is within walking distance of some incredable restaurants.
