Clean rooms, I can tell its a little old, but kept well. Quiet, no traffic noise or neighbors which is very nice. Staff is friendly and helpful, I had no problems.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Walking path near the property. I would stay here again.

Service was poor due to the fact our room was not ready for us in a timely manner and poorly communicated that staff quit. The front desk was blunt on providing us the service.

We booked a king bed with a jetted tub online. The room we received had a queen bed and bunk beds. I guess they took out the jetted tubs in January and didn't update their booking sites. The gentleman at the desk was very defensive and talked about getting a manager--but I just asked for a new room (I did NOT get upset). Things happen. I just didn't want bunk beds for a quiet weekend with my husband.
We were never told about the breakfast buffet at the adjoining restaurant. The people at the desk were not very helpful.

Not enough staff to help customers. Keya stopped working twice and when we we change them, no staff at the front desk to help. Its unfortunate that their terrible breakfast costs an additional $10 a person. One elevator was broken and manypeipke were waiting to use the one remaining elevator. The eco friendly touches unfortunately made the experience less comfortable as you have to put your key in a slot to make the electricity work. Also, we were unable to regulate the fan. We won't be going back.

Hotel check in employee was rude. DDid not greet us. Never told us about the breakfast in the restaurant. Had to come back down 3 times to get key cards that actually worked to get us in our room. TV did not work in the room. Additional charges on credit card after check out.

This place is okay, but the rooms are small with a sink in with the toilet and currently they are understaffed.

Nice new clean hotel. Room still had that newly built smell

Room was nice. Socks got dirty walking across the floor. There was no hot water at all. The clerk should have informed us there was a hot water issue before we paid but failed to do so.
3.0
Water pressure very poor. At times noisy. Hard to regulate room temp and fan.

One elevator was broke. There were no water bottles for sale and we arrived late. The front desk associate was very accommodating and friendly. My 90 year old mother in law was assigned
a room clear on the opposite end of the floor and we had specifically requested her to be across the all or as close to our room as possible when we made the reservation and had to get a new room. It turned out well. Thank you

The air conditioning was hard to get to work, very little choice to make room comfortable for sleep. Woke up hot in the early morning because it had turned itself off.

At check in they told us they charge $20 for parking even though they did not list it when I booked the property. Room had an old used bandage in the bathroom when we entered. The place is fairly loud for some reason. Even though we paid for parking it became scarce. This is my third time staying here and I do not believe I will stay here again.

Friendly staff and good amenities.

This was an amazing hotel!! The pool and hot tub were amazing after touring Fort Lewis College all day!! Burger Theory had great food, drinks, and service!!! Would definitely recommend!;!!

To name this a "downtown" hotel is just false - it is no where near downtown Durango, at all. It is a pleasant, clean, quiet hotel with nice views and a great attached burger restaurant/bar. Really nice casual dinner there, with generous drinks. Nice stay - will keep in mind next time we head to Durango!

Disappointing. The name and the fact that they charge for parking makes you believe it's downtown. It's not. No trashcans or towel bars in the bathroom and one kleenex tissue! And the shower curtain was filthy. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were like fully stuffed sacks of flour.

Room keys did not work the entire time we stayed, had to get new keys 6 times during a 2 day stay

The room we had wasn’t what I expected. Didn’t have a coffee pot or nothing in the room to tell you about the restaurant or anything around. The room was next to the elevator and a little noisy. The room was clean and it was a nice room. The staff was very friendly.

The service at this hotel was awful. The front desk staff acted inconvieneced anytime you approached the desk. While the room was clean, the general areas of the hotel were dirty - crumpled papers and debris in stairwells, and tile floors dirty. The keys worked to open the rooms maybe 40% of the time. We had to get our room key rekeyed four times during our 3 night stay. The showers NEVER got hot. Good place to stay if you only like cold showers and cold shoulders from the staff. We will not be staying here again.

Me and my family recently stayed at the Holiday Inn for 2 nights. We arrived 45 minutes early to Durango but were told they weren’t running early so they didn’t let us check in early. When we finally were able to check in at 3:00 we went to our room and saw that the carpet by the bed had some HUGE burn marks and looked pretty worn. We let that go as we were not trying to make a big deal out of it. The second night we were there we were all in the room relaxing as a man just came in our room asking if our “TV was working”? He didn’t knock or declare who he was. I went down to the lobby to go ask if they had a maintenance man checking TV’s and they confirmed he was legit. I told them that was unprofessional and unacceptable for a man to just walk into a room without knocking not announcing himself. I have a 14 year old daughter that could have been in there by herself. The whole experience with Holiday Inn was not very pleasant.

Beds were very uncomfortable, breakfast and parking should be a free.
Disappointing , since we have stayed at holiday inn express before and was very accommodating

We specifically booked this hotel for the jacuzzi in the room. 100% would have stayed somewhere else if we were getting a typical room. After a 9 hour drive we check in to find out they gave our room to someone else. The front desk person was apologetic, gave us a balcony room & a breakfast voucher. Unfortunately, none of that was comparable to what we booked. We were terribly disappointed. Other than that, hotel was fine. Not bad, not luxurious.

We enjoyed our stay here . Very clean and very spacious. Will visit again.

I was really disappointed with this hotel. There were no USB ports in the rooms, no fan in the bathroom, and we had to pay to park in the hotel parking lot.

Liked that it was close to downtown.

Overall, for a Holiday Inn, comparatively speaking I rate it poor to average. Simply not enough staff to accommodate clients. Breakfast was not provided onsite because the chef was not able to drive in(snowstorm). We were offered the breakfast across the street at the Residence Inn. Some of the staff did not even know of this change. I was able to check in early, and told the room required the card key to turn on the lights. That’s fine but when I got to the room, it must have been one which was not wired for this. It made it appear that staff was not aware of the nuances with rooms. It was very quiet and pets were welcome. My receipt was not itemized, and I believe I was charged for bringing my dog, although at the website, the fee was either implied and not listed or I did not see it. Overall, poor management.

Staff was amazing

First off it isn't downtown even though the listing indicates it is downtown it's a twenty minute walk over some moderate hills. Pool was closed for remodel. Didn't know that until we were walking to swim in it with our 6 year old. Desk staff shrugged when we told them we would have booked somewhere else if we'd have known. They charge $10 a person for basic hotel breakfast. Never seen this at IHG property before. They boast an attached restaurant which was closed early when we tried to eat dinner there one evening. Room is dated and tired. Looks like halls and common areas have been updated several times since our room was. Staff had zero solutions for anything we brought to their attention.

We got points for staying there. Ut missed the hotel due to no signage. Did not expect a $10 fee fir parking. Expected breakfast. Which they had but had to pay for it. Had to pay extra $25 initially. Made for long wait. We are supposed to get it back from C.C. Hopefully.
A good thing was a burger place attAtched to hotel. But food was mediocre and slow staff

Conveniently situated close to Main Street and road to Mesa Verde. Quiet, clean, comfortable beds.

Good location and price. Understaffed, probably not their fault. Restaurant for the buffet breakfast had no cook, skimpy , cold food.

I didn’t like: finding previous guest’s panties somewhat under the bed, especially because I thought I’d dropped a clothing item, I didn’t like the carpet in the room with melted areas and old worn appearance, I didn’t like being told it was $10 for parking and multiple spaces used by trailer parking close to the entrance, I didn’t like finding a long hair on my sheets. The women who checked me in was very nice and personable.
