La piscine devant chaque Villa. La grande chambre La gentillesse du personnel qui après notre déception suite à un malentendu concernant la chambre nous a offert le petit déjeuner sur plateau flottant dans la piscine. En principe 50 €. La cuisine est très bonne.

La proximité du marché aux poissons. L odeur est très forte sur la plage. Il vaut mieux aller nager plus loin. Le restaurant est entre deux murs. Cadre un peu triste.

Der Empfang am anreisetag war sehr herzlich. Bei einem Drink in Form von einer Kokosnuss wurde uns die super schöne Villa mit all ihrem Komfort erklärt. Super schön und modern eingerichtet. Es hat einen Kühlschrank deckenventilator und eine Klimaanlage. Die Seife Shampoo sind von sehr guter Qualität. Das Zimmer und der Pool werden täglich sehr gut gereinigt. Das wlan funktioniert einwandfrei. Ganze Anlage sehr sicher. Besonders hervorzuheben möchte ich das freundliche Personal. Wir konnten auch dan ganzen abreisetag die Anlage und das Zimmer benutzen. Vielen lieben Dank 😊 das Essen am Morgen und buffet am Abend ist von sehr guter Qualität.

Nous avons aimé notre séjour tout était parfait ! La nourriture, les villas, l’équipe, le personnel, serveurs, équipe de ménage, managers tout le monde est adorables et serviables. La sécurité et la bienveillance règne dans cet hôtel, la localisation est parfaite, on a littéralement les pieds dans l’eau 🏊. Les prix sont très raisonnable en vu de la qualité des services et le personnel est très arrangeant au niveau des sorties et excursions 👍

Proporcionaram-nos uns dias inesquecíveis para desfrutarmos ao máximo da nossa estadia ! Comida muito boa, higiene , comodidades , simpatia . Adoramos este hotel e certamente que iremos voltar! Obrigada por tudo ! São as pequenas coisas que fazem a diferença e que tornam os nossos momentos e lembranças para o resto da vida ! São incríveis ❤️

The pool area is stunning

The beach itself is full of hawkers so if you venture out beyond security you'll be harassed every 5 metres. Food is always a buffet (despite them telling us on arrival it was sometimes a la carte for the 4 nights we stayed it was always a buffet) and fairly average. Breakfast, in particular was disappointing. I'm lactose intolerant and had to remind them of this despite saying it in my booking. One night they thought rice and spinach would be a satisfactory dinner until I said it wasn't. By the end of our stay we ate elsewhere despite paying for dinner in our booking Said it had a bar on booking.com but it's actually a dry resort. When we mentioned this to the "guest liason officer" (oddest job title ever) she was pretty demeaning to us saying it was stated numerous places it was dry. When we showed her it wasn't, rather than saying sorry she was wrong she just doubled down telling us few hotels serve alcohol in the area anyway (which isn't true) and gave us incorrect directions to an off-licence. Her manner was just off with us and we never felt welcome by her. Fortunately she lives in stone town so over an hour away so we rarely saw her around. Not sure why a 6 room hotel needs a "guest liason officer". The options of having breakfast in the pool area for $50 considering we had paid already seemed a massive rip off. The dinner on the beach was in the hundreds of dollars range which considering the quality of food usually served seemed crazily expensive.

I love everything about it it’s right there on the beautiful beach you can see the beautiful sunset everything is private. It’s the only place you have the pool right on the beach, the stuff is amazing special, the girls at restaurant ❤️ the cleaning lady doing amazing job there everything is nice and clean , the reception staff are very nice and welcoming helping in everything you need, it is really amazing place is very much a romantic Thank you all Shay orian dalal

I love everything in this place

- The room is incredible with the little swimming pool and the beach just few meters away. No lies, being on the terrace and see that kind of view is wonderful. - The inside is also incredible, we felt at home. Everything is thought for you to have a good stay. We liked the fact there were some games and French books in the bedroom. - The staff is very helpful and welcoming - The fact that there is a security guard 24h/7. Despite the fact that this is a public beach we always felt safe and no one bothered us in any way. Of course you see some people pass by but they’re far and that’s fine. - We encountered the Relation Manager and she was so nice to meet. We could feel those villas means a lot to her and that she really wants the guests to have a wonderful stay. Despite some of the things we disliked, I’m sure that in few months from now, the grade will be up to 10.

- Food is way too simple. It is good but not as good as you would expect it to be for this kind of « luxury » villas. - We don’t want to accuse anyone of anything but one member of the staff was « pushing » too much to get a tip. It is one thing to be helpful and gentle, it’s another thing to cover you of compliments, to call you « babe » to tell you you are going to be missed after only 2 days time, and finally to tell you that you don’t know if tips in the entrance are shared or not. We understand that money can be an important things for locals and we like giving tips whenever we can but this, honestly we didn’t like it at all. - Restaurant area could be improved but as we understood, the hotel is quite brand new and some villas are still under construction so all the amenities should be improved a lot in the next few months. - For those reasons, we do think that the price/night is not really justified at this stage (we work in tourism so that helps to have an objective opinion)

The place is magical, super romantic, and pretty much heaven on earth The food is outstanding. We honestly looked forward to every meal. The staff are super friendly and always smiling, and they always try their best to make you feel at home Definitely recommended for anyone who looks for perfection Thank you all again for your help and kind hospitality

Nothing to be fair Everything was fantastic

I decided to have a scroll through the reviews of Safaya on my last day there and couldn’t believe some of the negative reviews I read. From the moment me and my wife stepped into our room we were marvelled in the aesthetic beauty of the place. Slowly making our way through to the garden and lo and behold our own plot of paradise. You couldn’t picture a better place to spend your honeymoon as we were or to just get away from everything. Hammock, plunge pool, jacuzzi jets, grass, beach chairs, sand and the most beautiful clear blue sea. We arrived just past midnight and was still given a tour of our room and a warm welcome. And as the restaurant would be closed at the time of our arrival they left our dinner for us In our room which was an absolute life saver. The a la carte menu food was absolutely lovely, some of the best food I have had in Zanzibar. The majority of the staff were very welcoming, you will hear Karibu a lot during your stay. The sunsets are gorgeous as safaya is located on the perfect beach for it. The romantic dinner is the most romantic thing you will ever do and the floating breakfast is the best breakfast you will ever have. There are security guards at the beach 24/7 so you know you are safe from the local salesman trying to sell you anything they can. The bed I will dearly miss. You will be out like a light and wake up feeling well rested. I could go on listing the things I liked but overall we made the right choice staying with safaya. We wanted to be away from other tourists, away from the late night parties, just in our own bubble and safaya provided that and some. Thank you guys for creating memories we will cherish for years to come.

These are not necessarily complaints but rather points of improvement. First of all the water pressure in the shower… I’ve seen enough reviews making note of this so I don’t need to say more on that. The night I arrived although I had accepted my food May not be fresh out the oven but left in a room for hours with the ac on blast before I could come to eat it… come on guys just a little forward thinking. I am well aware you have limited powers due to the location but the champions league next door can take away from that paradise feeling… just saying. I did have to point out during the romantic dinner prep that I want the sand cut out as advertised (seats facing eachother) rather than what they were creating (seats side by side facing the sea)… I mean again abit of thought… I am here on my honeymoon with my wife I’m not here with my uncle. As I said the a la carte menu is great but the buffet quite boring and bland. Also COFFEEEEEE where is the milk in my room for my coffee???. And why is there no coffee at the breakfast buffet. There is only a coffee machine I have to ask staff to operate it and the waiting time for a cappuccino seems to be near half an hour for some reason. Surely you press the cappuccino button and there you have it. Finally communication and professionalism. I understand English is not the first language but the amount of mistakes made with my food orders due to misunderstandings. Most guests will use English to bridge the language barrier so although this critique is a stretch it would help if the level of English was better. Now upon checking out. I checked out late about 1am but found no one at reception. I only had a beach security guard to tell me all staff had gone home… very unprofessional in my opinion. Your guests may need something at any point during their stay especially in case of emergency. Anyways the guard called one of the reception staff who turned up in her pyjamas to check me out so it was all good in the end.

Front row seat to the stunning ocean view in a cozy and private setting with a pool in your front yard is what Safaya Luxury Villas exceptionally offers at Nungwi Beach. Besides a very kind and welcoming management team, the friendly staff always did the best they could to assist us with everything we needed. Our room was kept neat and comfy, the food from a variety of cuisine was appealing ... and for an extra small fee, some special setup and romantic accommodation could be arranged: We really enjoyed the "floating breakfast"!! I would definitely recommend this place, especially to couples!!

We travelled to Zanzibar for our anniversary in July 2023. Stayed for 3 nights at Safaya Luxury Villas and it was amazing! The villa has a private pool with a wonderful view of the Nungwi beach. They had special decor setup in the room for our anniversary. The staff is really friendly and helpful especially Abdul and Zamzam. They have a wide menu of food options and the food was delicious. They also have a specific security guard for the villas to drive away beach boys who will try to pester you to buy things from them. I really loved their sustainable initiative by providing re-fillable glass toiletry bottles. Will definitely recommend this place. Totally worth the price. Would come again!

There nothing much. It was all well organized and we definitely visiting this property again!

The security at the beach which kept the whole resort private

The waiters did not understand language (English) Missed my shuttle going back because the receptionist took time to come when I was checking out . The showergels was not full and some times empty. Breakfast was not up to standard

The dinner menu could use some improvement

The inside of the room and terrace are exactly as pictured and provides a lovely view of the ocean. The staff were also nice

They did not fully honor what was stated on their listing citing a technical issue. It would also be helpful to have something (spray or citronella candle) to help with the flies while eating. The following two issues are not the property's fault, but I think they are worth noting; there is quite a bit of trash on the beach, which is disappointing, and be careful if there is heavy rain as parts of the dirt road leading to the hotel get filled with water making it difficult to drive.

I liked everything. The resort is beautiful and very clean. The villa is directly on the sea. The swimming pool is beautiful and clean. There is wonderful colorful night lighting. The sea is very beautiful and clean. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. I would like to thanks Patrick, Abdul, Dismas, kelvin They were friendly and helpful. They made our stay excellent and comfortable.

the interiors were done well and it is a new hotel with spacious rooms

constant electricity cuts and water pressure bad. one night before I left the room I got instructions from the staff at the hotel on how to go to my destination so they knew that I was out for dinner and was not expected to come back for at least 2 hours. I come back to my room later on that night to find my sliding door leading into my room slightly open(and no it was not open before I left as I was there the whole afternoon and it was not open ) , as if someone had come into my room whilst I was out. now I don’t know about you , but I definitely know that sliding doors do not open themselves, people open them. upon investigation , I note that the door conveniently does not lock ! when I told management they said no one would have come in and they proceeded to fix the lock with a screwdriver so that it now locks. that was a very uncomfortable experience and I would not go back taking into account that all the fishermen fishing opposite in the ocean is right on your doorstep staring at you the whole day. the security guard they have to prevent people from harassing the guests do not do their job , whilst sitting on the hotel swing outside the room I had to ward off a potential scammer who would not leave me alone, myself without the help of the guard who is just sitting and watching the whole thing take place.

Loved everything about this property! looks just like the pictures and did not disappoint. The beach view from the room is so surreal, I can’t describe it enough. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Communication was great and they provided everything we needed when we asked for it. l’ll definitely book Safaya again.

The property is beautiful and very clean with a private pool; it looks exactly like the pictures. Amenities are new. It is close to many restaurants and you have direct access to the beach. There is a security guard who patrols the area as well. The manager is welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. The staff are also very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is always fresh and tasty.

The power supply was erratic at times but I am sure it is a teething problem since it is a new establishment.

Good size and very clean. loved the privacy we had and how we could just relax. The personal pool is an amazing addition and beach a few steps away.
