Dimitra Beach Hotel & Suites

Beautiful resort. Lovely friendly staff. Great swimming pools. Amazing food. The perfect spot for some R&R with unspoilt views.

Location not great the best as in the middle of nowhere but bus stop outside hotel to take you into Kos town. For the beach you need beach shoes due to big boulders and beach could do with warning signs.

-The restaurant terrace was beautiful and had a lovely atmosphere. -The bar terrace, where the evening shows took place, was also very enjoyable. -The sea view was stunning. -We loved the white color of the entire property, which gave the hotel an elegant and relaxing look. -The gardens were very well maintained and added to the beauty of the resort. -The children’s pool was conveniently located next to a small playground, which was perfect for families with young children.

-The food was quite average and became too repetitive during our stay. -Cleanliness could be improved, both in the rooms and in the pool and beach areas. The sun loungers were often stained or covered with pine needles. -We did not like that, at the pool bar (where the Italian restaurant was located), the staff started setting the tables for dinner around 4:00 p.m. while guests were still enjoying the all-inclusive afternoon snacks in their swimwear. As a result, it became difficult to find a place to sit, even though the snack service was still available. -Although reserving sun loungers was not allowed, most of the loungers by the pool were already occupied with towels early in the morning, even when no one was using them.

WiFi-Nutzung mühsam, weil jeweils wieder neu eingeloggt werden muss, sobald man die Geräte aus- und einschaltet. Am Strand stellenweise überhaupt keine WiFi-Versorgung. Das ist m.E. inakzeptabel; man verbringt dort ja viel Zeit. Essen tagsüber ebenfalls OK, ausser im so genannten "Italian Restaurant" - Verköstigung dort äusserst dürftig (mageres Angebot / wenig Schmackhaftigkeit); kalte Pommes Frites, schlampige Würstchen an Mayo, teilweise schwarz-faule Bananen. Generell betrachten wir es als Fehler, "All inclusive" gewählt zu haben: Die Kundschaft benimmt sich unter solchen Umständen offenbar "anders", als wir es naiverweise erwartet hatten: Viele übermässig fettleibige Leute, die sich vollstopfen und das übermässig gehortete Essen dann einfach stehen lassen. Abschreckend.

The staff here is amazing, and the staff made this vacation pleasant for us despite the challenges. They are hard working, pleasant, attentive, kind, always smiling.

The suite I got for my family, with an infant, was on the farthest point of the hotel. Meaning to go to the closest restaurant or to the sea you have to climb 100+ steps. This could have been okay if they had excellent transportation around the hotel, but this was not the case. You have to call a number to ask for a ride, and your call is not always picked up, and when you can reach picked up the meet-up with the driver is not simple. If you have such a large resort in such steep geography, and for the money I paid, I expect a ring shuttle going non-stop and I can rely that I will be picked up in 5 minutes. Unfortunately the transport here was not reliable, which ended up with me and my family including 70 year old and an infant climbing 60 floors a day on average. Also the route between lobby-our room going through a highway was a disappointment. Often times I did not feel like I was in a resort but in a random facility. Shortly they have to invest in serious infrastructure to make this a real resort experience. It could be a pleasant experience if you get a room closer to restaurants and the sea, but I would advise you not to risk it. Not good value for money.
