We was very lucky with the weather so the surroundings / scenery were beautiful and very peaceful. My son loved to keep the fire going. Everything is catered for ie. towels for the shower, well stocked items in the fridge and cupboards.

The only downside l would personally say is that you have to park your car in a very busy layby and then take your belongings to the boat. Jason was fab (even thought he had dislocated his arm) he had a trolley to take our luggage which he pulled himself. Has you can image with two adult children we don't travel light.

The host was very committed to ensuring that we had had all of the information we needed for a comfortable stay and the barge was roomy with a great selection of books to browse.
