My husband and I had a pleasant stay. We definitely would be returning.

Was a descent hotel, stayed 2 nights with my kiddo and it was okay. Room had a window unit type of a/c where all of the controls were and it was very humid in the room, difficult to get comfortable temperature.
Room was pretty clean. Comforter and towels appeared to be old, could definitely be replaced with new linens and towels. Overall, was safe and quiet and staff was very friendly.

I was booked at another hotel in town but it was more of a motel with outdoor facing rooms. I was thankful to find Hotel Texas with interior hallways. It may not be part of a well known chain but it was just as good as many of those type of hotels. Clean and comfortable. All of the expected amenities in the room. It was over 100 degrees the day of my stay and the air conditioner in my room was able to keep up. I didn’t eat breakfast but I looked and it was as expected - sausage patties, biscuits, and waffles. It looked tasty. The coffee was excellent! I only wish they had half and half at the coffee station. That is my only critique of an otherwise excellent stay.
