Architecture is interesting and authentic for 100 yrs or so ago when built. Lots of common areas for seating and socializing. Room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable. No AIR CONDITIONING! Fan present but falls short of a comfortable temp when hot outside (as it was for my stay). Staff were friendly and greeted us upon arrival. Explained facilities and processes. Bathroom was clean with a nice cast iron enameled tub/shower. Room was a bit lacking for counter/storage space.

The nicest hosts and the most amazing breakfast. No AC and hall light on which seemed to effect my sleep. If you love antiques and a story this is the place for you

The friendly hosts and the elaborate, tasty breakfast were the highlights of our stay here. The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower set-up on the clawfoot tub reminded us of our first home and were fine, but a grab bar to help getting out would be helpful. The gardens were pleasant. The outside of the building was a bit tired and worn looking; I'm sure upkeep on such a large, historic building is tough.

Lovely hosts, breakfast was excellent, fun to stay at such a cool historic property with great stories, downtown easily accessible, close to reversal falls, great views outside and from upper room that we stayed in. Easy opportunities to meet other guests during breakfast. Room included antiques/relics/clippings that were interesting to explore. A little bit of old room smell that isn’t surprising at all for a house built in 1800s, and not unpleasant. We loved our stay and wished we had more time in this cool area.
