Die Lage

We arrived to the property pretty late as our train arrived past midnight but we let them know and they were waiting for us and check in was fast and efficient. The room is not very large but you can move around well. We were on the ground floor and there is no window, but a door to the courtyard (there are rooms in the upper floor too). It's very quiet. You only hear the birds (there are some birds in cages in the place and they sing beautifully, especially in the morning) Breakfast is different every day and it's super yummy. There are always eggs, jams, bread and fruits. And tea or coffee (for the coffee lovers, go for the tea, unless you like instant). We always had it in the terrace and it was a joy as it's a lovely place. It's a short walk from attractions and in a back street, so central but hidden and quiet. Easy to locate once you have a few landmarks and the staff are extremely helpful. They sorted our transport to Khiva (we got a private car) much cheaper than any agency and they were always eager to help.

It was a lovely place to stay, They always supported and helps with any request we had. Absolutely perfect.

We were given a different room from the one we booked - a twin instead of a double, on the ground floor, with no window. It was damp, and could not be ventilated. There were issues with hot water. Soundproofing was bad, we could hear very well every time people using the bathroom upstairs and everything happening at reception. The room size was noted to be 25 m², but in reality it was only about 4 × 4 m plus a tiny bathroom.
