Hotel Espasion Pontocho

Letti comodi e posizione perfetta. Struttura molto pulita.

Mancano piani di appoggio e armadio per disfare la valigia

The location is gold! Pontocho alley is right behind, restaurants and bars downstairs, its walking to distance to nice food locations and the train/bus stations are max 7mins walking distance. The place was clean, slightly bigger than usual for Japan, really nice overall.

מיקום מעולה ממש מרכזי, חדרים גדולים ומרווחים, נקי, מסודר ושירות מדהים

Really nice convenience. The location is great, the room layout is fine. Hotel was fine overall. I didn't hear noise even though the main street was just outside. While not very personal, it's fine if you just want a simple hotel experience - security was severely lacking though.

At check-in, the screens offer zero privacy, displaying your full passport number alongside a required video scan of your face with no explanation. Worse, your room number and 6-digit access code are shown in large text for nearby guests to see. Because that same code opens both the main hotel entrance and your room, and there’s no deadbolt in the room (just an electronic lock), anyone who sees your code can easily enter your room, day or night. If someone sees your code when entering the hotel, they can now enter your room as well. Overall, the room feels a little cheap for the price with a lightweight bed frame that shifts when you move, and a basic modular bathroom like at budget chains like APA. Cleanliness was fine but lacking a bit, evidenced by stray long black hairs on the bed and towels.
