Dana's Downtown Luxury Victorian Retreat was an elegant and welcoming oasis in bustling Toronto. We had the suite at the back of the house, which is decorated in a French style, with a very nice bathroom, really comfortable bed and little extras, like a small refrigerator, coffee machine, kettle and teas. The suite was immaculately clean.
Dana is a gracious, friendly, informative host and provided us with a wealth of information about sights to see and places to go as well as where we could get a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. Having not been to Toronto before, this really helped us focus on what to do and where to eat. My husband and I will definitely stay at Dana's Retreat if we travel again to Toronto.

Very well appointed house and guest room. Friendly service. The location is very good, well within walking distance of major attractions and easily accessed via the tram system. The owner is very open to helping visitors and offering lesser known nearby attractions. The room and property are exactly as advertised. The bed was very comfortable and the linens elegant.
There's not much to complain about. Offering breakfast would defimitely elevate this listing, but it was it was clear in the listing that this was not the case. That being said, there are a lot of restaurant options nearby and tea and coffee is available in suite.

The hostess Ms. Dana helped me a lot with tips about places to visit, restaurants, museums, and was very polite and kind. Her house is very well located and pretty designed. I highly recommend to all that look for a quiet place and comfortable place.

The hosts were lovely, Dana couldn’t do enough to help and was full of recommendations and tips and was kind enough to wait up for us when our flight was pushed back. The room is beautiful, thanks for hosting us.

What a gorgeous and charming place to stay. Dana is lovely, it feels safe and secure and all the facilities are spotlessly clean. The bath in our room was a real treat. So glad we ended a month travelling around Canada here it really made the end of our trip special. Dana gave us some fabulous cafe and restaurant recommendations, as well as a map of the city to show where to go etc. Thank you for having us, we will visit again!

Nothing at all. We left after the first night loosing 280 USD.
This is definitely not a place for elderly couple. There are no elevator and we had to drag our luggage to the second floor while the owner did not offer any help. She demanded that we take off our shoes before entering the building. There is no privacy in the room (a big tub in the meddle of the room and restroom and shower with transparent glass walls). The neighborhood is very unpleasant to walk at night. We left after the first night.

My daughter and I came for a second stay for a concert. the Host, Dana, is very sweet,warm and caring. she greeted us by saying “welcome home”!
The room is beautiful, and super clean with a very modern bathroom and shower. The bathtub is very large and deep and fits a tall person comfortably.
The queen size bed is extremely comfortable and the lighting is exquisite. this is the only place I will stay when I come back to Toronto.

- Room is missing a few practicalities (ie. Table for eating, night stands). Fairly minimalistic, but very nice looking and clean.
- we found the temperature a little on the high side. We should have told Dana and she would have adjusted so this is 100% our fault

The location is really good, you can walk anywhere. The room and the restroom are very new, clean and beautiful. The hostess is super nice and always willing to help. We will definetely stay here again if we ever go back to Toronto.
