Holiday Inn Express - Wilmington North - Brandywine by IHG

Location was great. Staff were excellent. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable.

TV wasn't working on check in. After TV was reset and working only about half of channels that were supposed to be available were working. Elevator required resetting as a part was on order and the elevator would stop working.

Overall, this was a great stay. Staff were friendly and helpful; very comfortable room, bed and pillows; good shower with consistent, fast hot water on the fourth floor, and excellent breakfast. Lots of restaurants, grocery stores, and stores around. Ample parking.

The major issue was breakfast. The person handling it over the weekend had apparent used ALL the cinnamon rolls, so there were none over my three day stay. I mean, that’s your signature item! Miss Betty, who is a real treasure, made some of the best biscuits around and provided a great breakfast each day, however, my last morning, the early breakfast person called out at 5:30am. The hotel called her, who rushed over on her day off to put together breakfast, but those of us arriving early had no plates and little food simply because she was scrambling to get everything up and running. We all managed just fine, but it definitely detracted from an otherwise great stay. That needs to be sorted out.
