Good location, good deal

Unable to pay on the spot

When we came out of Katoomba Station we could see the Metropole across the road on the corner. The best location so close to the station. It has a charming old world feel and was the best value for money. Our room was lovely and very clean and fresh. Easy walk to town and good restaurants. We found Basil Nut restaurant. - fantastic, great food at prices in the $ 20's rather than $30's and $40's. It's a busy little place with great vibes.

We needed 2 nights at the start and end of a 5 day visit. I wanted a second night before leaving by train for Sydney at the end of our stay. We couldn't get in, booked out!

hotel common areas and location were excellent

It has a very homey feel. It’s clean.

Lift was broken. We had to carry our luggages till the third floor.

It was a "haven"!!!

Noisy (Freight trains)

Suuuuper friendly people! Good and very resonable breakfast. Very quaint, historic building - but well renovated. Additional rooms, library, lounge, games room for rainy days. Very good location in the heart of the Blue Mountains. Parking available (no extra charge).

So charming and cosy with facilities such as library and recreation room with pool table. Adorable courtyard. Right opposite the train station too, and within sight of main street with bus services.

would have been nice with evening meal or bar available but both within 5 min walk around into high street so no real problem

Lovely & helpful staff. Incredible breakfasts and very reasonable. Beautifully furnished Guest House with a library and leather settees, areas with arm chairs and tables to relax and a billiard room. Our bedroom was comfortable with a settee. Everywhere was spotless. By the station and shops , cafes and restaurants. Definitely recommend staying there. .

Great location - Close to local amenities and train station, 25min walk to Echo Point. Clean and comfy rooms

Centrally located, near train station, efficient staff very accommodating, clean warm room. Perfect for overnight stay. Private secure car park. Breakfast available.

Right in the middle of time, a quirky old style hotel which was pretty comfortable. Loved the shared lounges.

Shower and hot water were adequate, but no more than that.

Fabulous older art deco building with lots of original features.
