Everything. Especially the pool!

Owner so friendly and easy to deal with. The previous review for the week before we stayed is accurate. it could be such an amazing place and judging from the photos it was but the photos take some working out when you are now at the property because the outside has been not been maintained. the Pool is fantastic and is the crowning glory but if the area around the pool was kept maintained we may have been able to use the garden area. outside shower really useful. pool table we loved and the size of the house is a big plus.

upon arrival I had to clean the cutlery and dishes as they weren't clean and the kitchen cupboards inside especially the drawers where things were kept were dirty. there was no dish cloths or floor brushes so no way to clean the floors to reduce bugs/ants. the owner did provide a hoover upon request and I went out and bought some bleach and tea towel. something was eating our bed frame - we could hear it nibbling, probably insects but the owner did come round and spray our insect spray we bought but it didn't stop it. he did say he would return to wrap the bed but we didn't see him again. we slept on the sofas upstairs instead. kids slept well in their rooms.

The host is very friendly and is always eager to help with any questions or concerns you have during your stay. The location is also quite good and is relatively short travel distance from Split and considering the property is up on the mountain, the view of Split is amazing.

Villa has a huge potential and there are some great things about it such as location, view of the city, garden is quite beautiful, but there's not as much work being put into maintenance/preparation as it requires. When we arrived the villa was dirty and we took it upon ourselves to clean it as we did not want to be disturbed by cleaners next morning. The whole villa has this smell that you'd associate with a retirement house, it was a combination of a tobacco smoke and old furniture that's probably been left unwanted on the side of the road/dumpster, which doesn't create any sense of style either. The only thing that was prepared upon arrival were towels and bedding, everything else was a bit of a mess. The pool wasn't properly cleaned nor the filtering was turned on, we weren't even told or given a button to turn on pool lights. The garage was taken by host's car and considering we rented a big 7-seater car, we didn't want to use a garage as there was loads of rubbish at the back of the it. The first floor has a very weird combination of a kitchen, living room and a bedroom, which is weird and creates sense of discomfort if anything else. The air conditioners are only in two rooms - the Frankenstein room I've already mentioned and a kitchen/living room space on top floor, only one of them was working decent during our visit. One of the bedrooms had a modem router on the table with an insane amount of cables and wires all over the place so we couldn't even move it on the floor. The "BBQ room" seen in the photos hasn't been cleaned for a while, don't bother. Basically, there were so many things that indicated that the property is not really cared after and that nobody invests their time into making sure that the time you spend in that villa feels homely. Nothing in the villa was up to the same standard as seen on the photos, can't really recommend it to anyone.

Friendly host and very helpful. Anything we didn't have he went out and bought immediately. Great views Great location Great pool Great holiday
