This is the only hotel open in Volda off-season. Room was clean.

Shower temperature was fluctuating. Hotel building and interior is looking tired and could do with a refresh.

The personnel was really nice and kind. The hotel is also located very close to the center of Volda and close to nice restaurants. And it has a great view over the fjord.

The property can use a bit of maintenance. The shower for instance leaks into the rest of the bathroom, one of the windows couldn’t open and the curtains had stains on them. And while the view over the fjord is really cool, it would help if the windows had been cleaned.

Very helpful and kind personell

None was there at check out, a lot of keys were on the front desk and we thought the room was prepaid so we left the key and we went away. As we were on the ferry to Alesund we got a call from the hotel that we must go back and pay. They pretended there was a message that stated we should call them. If there was any message, it was only in norvegese. At the end the man accepted that we could send the credit card details. The cost agreed in booking was 2849 NOK but he took “plus our fee for following up on non paying customers at NOK 70,- /room.”. It seems to me this is a way to get more money from customers. Be aware!!!! Better even not to go there! The experience was terrible: awful hotel, bathroom out of order with water coming out of the bottom of the wc on the floor and the basin which would not let the water flush away…
