lovely stay in nice central apartment in Jerez. The owners Marion and Jose were very helpful in recommending places to go. Jose came to see us off on our departure and booked our taxi to the airport which was good. We like Jerez for its culture and the atmosphere and the sunshine is a bonus. We also liked the fruit and fish market seen nothing like it in the UK. Also Jerez is a good base for visiting the surrounding area. You can get to Arcos, Chipiona and Sanlucar by bus cheaply, By train to Cadiz, San Fernando, and Valdelagrana. No need for car hire.

Jerez was a gem, and so was this place. The location is excellent, and a fairly short walk to anyplace. It felt very safe. A bodega was next door, a supermercado was about a block away. . The area was reasonably quiet, and it was very quiet inside the unit. The unit was complete and comfortable. We didn't cook, but it looked like the kitchen was fully equipped (except for wine glasses...odd, but in all the places we stayed in Spain, only one had wine glasses). Marian and Jose were great hosts; Jose helped orient us to Jerez and told us the places to go and how to get there. Parking was safe and reasonably close by, but we never used the car while we were there. Just too much to do that was walkable. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was small, but worked well (except that the window in the shower leaked water into the hallway outside, and we couldn't figure out how to stop it. Not a huge problem, but I hated to leak water into a pool onto the tile floor outside. It took a while for the air conditioning to cool the apartment off, but once it did, it worked really well. The interior walls had a very coarse sand finish. If you happen to have a little too much sherry one night and walk down the hallway without turning on the light, be careful not to scrape your elbows along the wall. Just saying. There was a patio up top overlooking the church, but we never used it. There was no real shade, and not much in the way of inviting seating, but honestly, wandering around the town was way more fun to us than sitting up there. We found a great restaurant in Plaza Del Banco called Cafe Nicolas, and their Chicken Amontillado was just heaven. We actually had good food almost everywhere in Jerez. It was a great town, and very underrated as a destination. If you go, you can't go wrong staying here.

This apartment was large and comfortable, and we really appreciated having a free parking lot very close by for our rental car. Marian was quick to respond to emails, and her kind husband, Jose, was very punctual in meeting us when we arrived. He was also a great resource for activities, especially for flamenco shows (which was really the main reason we wanted to visit Jerez), for which he emailed us daily with the shows and venues available for the particular day. There is a grocery store very close to the apartment, and all of the main sites (the Alcazar, the Cathedral, the market) as well as great tapas bars are a short walk from the apartment. Nice flat with everything you need for a comfortable stay at Jerez. We didn´t use the car, because everything is near and you can walk within 10 or 15 minutes to all important places, Alcazar, bars, shopping horseshow... We always had contact to Jose, who gave us a lot of flamencotipps. Thanks, we enjoy our stay and would come back, should we visit Jerez again.

Jose was a perfect host, giving us info on flamenco bars, restaurants and bodega visits. he also booked our taxi for return to airport and saw us off. location is quiet and convenient for access to everything including walking to the station, from which you can get to Seville, Madrid and many other places. apartment was spotless and just right for us. thank you Jose

As a couple we enjoyed our stay in Marian and Jose's apartment in Jerez. Spacious, well equipped and easy access to the old town centre. Jose made helpful recommendations for restaurants (Abala was great, a short walk away) and entertainment. Many thanks. We recommend this place.

Jose met us at the apartment and provided an extremely helpful introduction to its facilities and to the local area. Later in the week we received a message from Marian recommending a flamenco bar where we spent a really enjoyable evening. Jose also helped us with details of a local internet office where we could print out our boarding passes. All in all the hosts couldn't have done more to make our stay memorable and stress free. The whole apartment was clean and well maintained. We used the well equipped kitchen to prepare our breakfasts and several evening meals. There are a few small grocery shops and cafe/bars very nearby. We slept well, not least because the bedroom is away from any noisy road, but also because the bed and duvet were most comfortable.
