Hotel Cvita

Lovely lady at breakfast room. Spacious rooms. Decor a little dated, however everything is in excellent condition. Very convenient for a short stay and includes parking.

the room was so spacious and felt really luxurious. the location is right by the national park which is why we chose it (it isnt close to town), and we walked every day for an hour over the mountian and to the beautiful beach on the other side. stunning for nature.

Parking on site and only about a 20 min walk to the old town. Very quiet area. We had a superior room with balcony and it was great: large and spacious and with the all important air conditioning. We ate pool side both evenings and the lady on duty was friendly and efficient. Food was OK. Breakfast was exceptional. The lovely friendly receptionist extended our check out time so that we did not have to hang around too long at the port for our ferry to Hvar.

Rooms were large and breakfast included was good. Reception staff who greeted us and lady working in bar in the pool area were very pleasant.

Unfortunately, the photos of the hotel showed fabulous ocean views. This was the reason we selected this hotel instead of other accommodation in the old town of Split. We regretted our selection as we had no view (the rooms opposite us did) and it was not within comfortable walking distance of the old town. In fact, it was in a residential area which was remote from any shops or restaurants. The hotel restaurant was not available on the night we stayed so we had to select from the pool service menu. The food was not overly appetising and the menu selection was limited. The hotel did not live up to the photos provided and the rooms, though large, were very tired looking. In addition, one of the male staff members who assisted us in taking our luggage to the lift area, had extremely bad body odour. I'm not sure why this hotel is rated 'fabulous". It is not a four star hotel and we would not recommend. Would recommend staying in the old town instead.
