I liked most everything about this property. It was clean, nicely furnished, well stocked, and in an incredible location. Out the door and you’re into the Old Harbour area with endless shops and restaurants . . . and amazing views! Stina was so helpful and sent a wealth of information about the area and also the whole of Iceland!

The location of the apartment is very central and an easy walk to all the sights.
I found the lock box difficult to open and I had trouble lock ng the front door despite folding owing the insteuctions left.
On a wet day I was unable to access the internet on any of the wifi connections.
There is only a small view of the sea and mountain from the apartment.

Great location in Reykjavík. Walking distance to pretty much everything. 95% of the boat tours leave from the Harbour across the street. The apt itself was comfortable and clean.

The location was great for walking to local restaurants and being near Harbor tours. The blackout shades were helpful for sleeping. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very responsive with communication.

The host messaged a 4-digit code the day prior and we used it to enter the apartment. They also sent detailed instructions on taking the elevator to the proper floor of the building, in addition to parking instructions.

Great location and very comfy clean apartment. Everything works well, the hosts were extremely communicative and helpful and friendly, good secure parking, comfy beds and sofabed. There was even food there! There were three of us and we had plenty of space and privacy for the few days - there is one actual bedroom with great storage and two beds which can be joined together. There is a shower washing machine and dryer in the bathroom (no bath) and again, plenty of storage, toiletries and cleaning supplies. It's within easy walking distance to pretty much everything and getting the buses from the airport is super easy (they gave very helpful and clear instructions) - don't waste money on a taxi!
I'm not sure if you could really say there is a sea and mountain view - bit of a literal (neck) stretch... Remember when you smell the shower that you're in Iceland and the water is heated geothermally. We initially thought there was a drains issue!

Very well equipped comfortable apartment in a good location. Excellent communication and plenty of information about things to do and places to eat, etc. from the hosts.
Some road noise can be heard from the lounge, particularly in the morning. I found the key box difficult to open.

this facilities were fantastic with lots of additional items available. A well covered balcony with wonderful views. the space was comfortable and well decorated and the use of Netflix to relax to after a fun filled day of adventures was a bonus! Oddur provided fantastic suggestions and the communication was superb. we would highly recommend this property and would not consider any other for a return trip to Reykjavík. The location was absolutely fantastic and within walking distance to everything we need to see within the city and super close to some good restaurants too!

beautiful property and lovely location but most importantly it was lots of little details that made it great.
There were makeup wipes, dry shampoo etc stocked in the bathroom, washer and dryer with washing liquids provided.
Messages and updates from the property regarding restaurant and sight seeing suggestions.

The apartment was perfect for out 6 night stay. Fantastic location, view makes you feel like you are definitely in Iceland. Great central location to all sights, supermarket, car hire, excellent range and choice of restaurants.

My daughter and myself had a wonderful time in Iceland in general, and this marvellous apartment was the icing on the cake for us. The place we found is spotless and pleasing on the eye, and my daughter loved her room. The lounge has a pull-out sofa bed that that I found extremely comfortable, and the balcony has a good view overlooking the harbour in the evenings.
It’s warm and spacious and right in the middle of everything. You can literally fall out of the apartment into some of the best restaurants in the city. (I recommend the Sea-baron—the lobster soup is amazing.)
The apartment was easy to access, and the key-locker instructions are simple and easy to negotiate.
It felt like a home from home for both of us.
Would go back again in a heartbeat.

The location was ideal for us. The hosts were very accommodating and kind. The area is full of food options at all levels of price points, the harbor is across the street, and Bus stop 4 is nearby for tour pickups. I highly recommend the burger place across the street (great fries) and the coffee from Rost. The beds were very comfortable and there is plenty of storage space for your stuff. There were lots of condiments available in the kitchen and fridge. The TV had Netflix so we could log in during a little downtime. We enjoyed watching and would recommend the Icelandic stand-up show from Ari Eldjárn: Pardon My Icelandic.
It's a very minor nitpick, but the street can be a bit noisy for the person sleeping on the sofabed. The apartment is right at street level on a fairly busy corner.

The apartment is beautiful and so clean. it had everything we needed for a 2 night stay in Reykjavik and such a great location. We easily found free on road parking just around the corner. Great, friendly communications from host. so glad we found this apartment for our stay!

Location was great, we walked to the harbor for our whale watching tour, then to restaurants. Underground parking came in very handy when it rained. Great communication with the host as well as instructions to enter the apartment and access the parking. Absolutely one of the best property we stayed at.

I think the owner has three apartments. The one we rented was clean, modern, and spacious and had everything we needed except for measuring cups or spoons and except as mentioned in "cons." The clothes washer and dryer were handy to have, and the shower had plenty of hot water and big bottles of shampoo. We were VERY comfortable, and the location was great. This was our 4th trip to Iceland and the first time we have rented an apartment. I would be happy to stay here again.
There was a basement parking slot for this 3rd floor apartment. Just for your info in case you rent an apartment that does not come with a parking slot, there is free parking in a gravel lot near the marina. You can find it on Google maps.
This was not a problem for us, but just for your information, the view from the apartment and small balcony is of the buildings across the street. The apartment is right at the harbor, but there is no view of the harbor.
In my opinion, this apartment is a great bargain compared to hotels in the area, and we liked being able to choose whether to go out to eat or to make our own meal.
I hope the manager has taken care of it by now, but the dishwasher was not working. When I opened it to load dishes, I noticed the soap tablet was sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher - not dissolved. There were two brands of tablets, so I used the other brand with my load, and it did not dissolve either. Maybe the water was not getting hot or maybe we guests don't understand the settings. If the latter is the case, some directions in English would be helpful (at least to me.) I ended up hand-washing all the dishes we used.
I also had a problem with the wi-fi login. The instructions clearly directed me to choose a wi-fi option that did not work for me. There was another similar option that I tried out of desperation, and that one worked perfectly. I also reported this to the manager.
For us, the comforters were too hot. The unit stays very warm even in colder weather and even with the heat off and windows cracked. My partner ended up using the duvet cover as a blanket. I slept sort of halfway under my comforter. We occasionally got up and opened the balcony door to cool the apartment. A lighter blanket or duvet would have been nice for us.

Great location near old harbor. Everything within walking distance. The first communication with the owner was great. We got many information about the city + recomendings for restaurants. Was extremly helpfully. We had a wonderful time there. So much space at the end of the vacation. Thanks Oddur+Stina
The front door was a little stuck, so at first we thought we were wrong. Maybe we were just too careful. A number on the door might help.

We spent a week in Iceland and explored the south from Reykjavík. Very clean and well equipped apartement ideal for two guests, close to the harbour, it includes a washing machine and dryer, detergent is available as well as a all the kitchen utensils you need plus a few basic cooking products so you don’t have to stack up on them in the supermarket :) Provides everything you need! the harbour is a 1min walk away, supermarkets and city centre maybe 3-5mins. Free parking in the streets nearby. Oddur is a very friendly host, always available for questions and did his utmost to help us with any occurring problems. All in all would definitely recommend. Thank you for a brilliant stay!

don’t be fooled - hot tap and shower water smells funky because Iceland uses geothermal energy :) you’ll realize it’s the same smell once you’ve been to the hot springs. no smell in the cold water. good to drink!
