eine traumhafte Insel

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut gelegen mit einem schönen Blick auf Funchal. Die Einrichtung ist ausgefallen geschmackvoll und farbharmonisch. Eine schöne Überraschung, dass der Kühlschrank schon mit ein paar Getränken bestückt war. Die vom Gastgeber erstellte Info Broschüre ist hilfreich-. Angenehm auch der Garagenstellplatz

Hier handelt es sich eindeutig um ein vorübergehendes Problem, aber die Lärmbelästigung durch die benachbarte Baustelle war schon unangenehm, zumal da der Schallschutz der Fenster gegen Null tendiert. Auch das Hundegebell war sehr störend, auch wenn niemand etwas dafür kann. Ich persönlich hätte mir auch etwas mehr Möglichkeiten zur Verdunkelung gewünscht (blickdichtere Vorhänge, Jalousien o.ä.)

Beautiful location, beautiful interior and beautiful pool to match a beautiful island.

The property was beautiful inside, very spacious, great facilities (including washing machine) and a very generous balcony too. The pool up top was great too, great views from there. Stefan was very accomodating in helping us from the airport and back to the airport which was great. We arrived before the apartment was ready so he let us drop our stuff and then drove us to town to explore while we waited. The beach was a very short drive away and was lovely, definitely worth visiting.. by car! The bus was very easy to navigate, only 2EUR for an adult to get to town and the bus is very regular and even goes until 23:00hrs! If you dont have a car you should definitely visit a supermarket on your first day to get supplies, the apartment has amazing facilities to cook too - plus a huge fridge and freezer. We also had our baby with us and they provided a stroller, high chair & cot free of charge!

The location isn't amazing, but its not terrible. The property owners offer car hire too, which we didn't take. But the Bus comes from right outside the door of the apartment, walking is possible to a local shop, bakery and restuarants but it includes massive hills (which is consistent of most of Funchal). But even a taxi to the city centre was only about 8-10EUR so not too bad anyway! If you have the money and feel confident driving on hills then definitely hire the car!

Great value for money

Amazing views from the balcony and the rooftop, the apartment has everything you need including laundry, dishwasher. 2 bathrooms were a great surprise. I'd definitely consider staying in the apartment again.

Some furniture in the living room can be updated, better dehumidifiers for bathrooms are needed, and pest control should be strengthened. Not related to the apartment, but suggest bringing earplugs due to noisy dogs in the area (generally on the island).

The view was really good, sunset every day. Everything worked well, flat almost new, close to buses and shops. No disturbing neighbors. The flat was dry, the sun warming up the flat good. Levadas around the corner, possibillity to rest on the roof. It really felt like home. Everything was there when we came, just to start living. We used (rented) the grey car - a really good service.

No pools on Madeira are heated, so do not expect more than 17 degrees in winter. The flat was smaller than stated, I counted 80-90 m2, with balcony maximum 100m2. Where were the other 29m2 ? Host forgot when we should come and leave, be sure to call him before and tell him clearly when you come and when you go.

We booked the apartment for a stay of about a week with a family of two adults and two kids. The place is really comfortable, stylishly designed and has all the necessary equipment. it was very spatious with two toilets/bathrooms and two large bedrooms. You have a private balcony with sea view (very pretty) and a swimming pool on the roof (for the whole building, but it was always empty so it felt like a private pool). We were to Madeira without a car, so for us it was extremelu convenient that the bus no 4 stops right next door and takes us to downtown Funchal (from where you can also catch other buses or taxis to make trips). We had a great time and strongly recommend the place, especially for families with children.

excellent facilities in the room, lovely pool and help from the owner. it’s easy access to north west and main highways.

There is some development work in the area. Quite a steep walk to the property.

The seaview was lovely. it is a spacious apartment, that is well equipped with comfortable beds.

Absolutely nothing, it was perfect for our families needs (3) If you have mobility issues, you will need a car, as Madeira is very hilly and the apartment is on a steep hill.

I can definitely recommend staying at this apartment. It has AC and heat if needed and really anything you can ask for. 2 spacious rooms, bright big windows, great view and spacious terrace, parking outside and downstairs, massive TV, fast internet, welcome fruits and wine and so much more. After just a few days we felt very much at home. The owner Stefan is always available and can be called and reached anytime if needed. He provided a booklet in multiple languages with trip info, house info as well as restaurant info which was very much appreciated. Upstairs is a pool and chairs if needed.

There was really nothing we did not like.

Infested with Ants - Rude, Unhelpful Owner

Location was a bit out of the way, but in a nice area.

I sent a complaint to Booking during our stay to try to resolve the problems. They never replied. This host was rude and unhelpful. We arranged a transport from the airport - the hosts forgot to set it up. We got to the apartment - apparently we were supposed to call the cleaning crew (?) We waited for an hour outside the apartment to check in. When the cleaning people arrived, they let us in. We sat in the living room while they cleaned the apartment (very awkward). The apartment was unsafe. A piece of trim fell and hit my two year old right away. Later, a cabinet door fell and hurt my foot. We sent photos when we settled into the apartment of broken and damaged things. One of the toilets was broken, so there was only one toilet we could use during our stay. The apartment was SWARMING with ants. The ants were so bad, they were in cabinets with only dishes in them. We were wrapping things in plastic, keeping bread in the microwave, constantly killing ants and washing countertops to try to keep them at bay. When we finally saw the owner, he told us this wasn’t his problem. He said “nothing is perfect” and that he told us to go buy ant poison. He acted like the ant problem is all over the island (we live here now - it is NOT). It’s like a run-down, shabby, ant-infested Airbnb. He aggressively offered us 50 euro or something hilarious as though we were trying to extort money from him (we spent over $1500 I think for the stay). Save your money and go somewhere else. This apartment should NOT be on Booking.com.

clean, spacious, convenient location, quiet apartment block, late checkout not a problem, parking, pool, views, clothes washing facilities, a/c, sharp kitchen knives!

pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable and need replacing, broken blind in one bedroom, other bedroom had a blind which did not cut out light, no plug in kitchen sink or washing up bowl, no grill pan for oven or oven mitts, regular bad smells from both bathrooms, traffic noise and barking dogs at night disturbed sleep.

exceptional stay, could not have wished for more!

out of mains trip close to huge supermarket and bakeries … very safe. stunning view out over the ocean perfect for watching sunsets from the balcony. apartment was equipped with everything we could need. the hosts also left us out some beautiful fresh fruits, cake and wine for our arrival and provided all cleaning products and towels etc. incredibly spacious. by far the best hosts we have ever come across, helping us with a guide for the best walks on the island and making some fantastic restaurant recommendations! stay here , you will not be disappointed!

Amazing Apartment

we stayed at Madeira Mar Seaview for 2 weeks in August 2021. the apartment is spacescous, comfortable and fully equipped.everything we needed was provided and we even got fresh fruit as a welcome gift! there were enough boards, glasses, cups and other kitchen utensils available, including sharp knifes and bowls.everything worked perfectly. the apartment is very clean and has 2 spacious bedrooms as well as 2 nice bathrooms. the air-conditioning worked well and the view from the balcony is stunning. we also rented our car through stefan&silvia and were extremely happy with their communication and flexibility throughout our stay. it is a great asset to have a car as we were able to visit different places on the island evey day. by bus it would take several hours. we explored the whole island (still havent seen everything) and found our favourite swimning spot in the north near Santana. we have visited a lot European Islands in the past and can say without a doubt that Madeira is our favourite: beautiful nature, water and people! People say Madeira is the Hawaii of Europe. as someone who has actually been to Hawaii we can only agree. the islands impressive steep cliffs, green mountains and beautiful sea reminded us of the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands, Kauai. as we still haven't seen everything we will definitely come vack to Madeira and stay at the Madeira Mar Seaview.
