The Sea Turtle Reef is at a depth of 12-19 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Family Getaway
We loved our stay. The house was very accommodating for 11 guests.
We had 2 issues, the first was some miscommunication about checking in (our email stated we needed to drive to the rental office to pick up parking passes- this information was sent by mistake and caused some confusion while checking in.)
The second issue was that the lower level AC was not working. The property manager was very proactive helping to solve the problem. An AC repair company responded within a few hours and then portable units were brought in until the part could be replaced. I really appreciated the timely communication and response to this issue.

My life keeps me pretty busy and unrested, so when I do vacation, I want to be able to sleep. The 3 barking dogs next door woke us up every night around 2, and again bright and early at sun rise. Management told me they couldn't do anything about it.
When booking the house we looked at several properties and passed on a couple amenities offered by other places because the pictures of this house showed only 4 homes on the block. As soon as we got close we released that wasn't accurate. As we pulled into the neighborhood and saw all the homes lining each side of the road we were pretty disappointed. The neighborhood however is very nice, very attractive homes and we'll maintained. Just wish those pics were updated.
Inside the home is very nice, home was clean and we'll maintained. I do believe it is in need of the walls scrubbed down at waste lever and lower or nearing time for a repaint, but not overly concerning by any means. Kitchen is very nice but could use some extra cookware. Also the trash is picked up twice a week, on description says Mon/Thur the other says Tues/Thurs. The only reason this is notable is there are only two small trash cans to hold all your trash at the curb. We had 7 people in our group and did not have enough room. Also didn't help that one can was already full when we got there.
The "walk to" locations listed and to beach are truly accurate either. It is several block to any if you are with kids it wouldn't be suggested to walk. Definitely needs a gold cart amenities for use for the price.
Overall, I believe we paid a little more than I feel the value we received. With no extra amenities.

The dinnerware was nice, the cookware was lower tier but nice enough for what we needed since we ate out most of the time. The home is within walking distance to the beach but it is quite a stroll if you are loaded down with beach gear so we opted to drive. The only drawback was the construction next door. One day our drive was blocked by construction workers vehicles and the banging never ended .... so afternoon naps were not an option. We really loved the little house and will definitely plan to rent from this owner again!!

Paradise in Dune Side was very clean and comfortable. Great neighborhood! Needs a clock downstairs. Also a small pool would make it extra special. But all in all a beautiful home!

Small drive. 2 cars at best. No back door. One way in one way out. Need steps in back of house. This is a very nice home for older generation but if you have children may want to keep looking. Long walk to beach and NO CROSS WALK. No water hose at outside shower. Did not like outside shower located on side of house with no privacy. Outside trash can inadequate size. A lot of construction on street. Contractors parking on street made it difficult to back out and travel street. No place to store rented bikes. Internet slow at best. Limited channels on DirectTV. Did not have Fox News.

Great family vacation
My family (6 adults, 2 children five and under) had an incredible trip! We could have not asked for anything more-- the home exceeded all expectations. Good access to the public beach, the back deck was perfect for grilling and hanging out.

Beautiful beach house. Perfect for large families!
This was our first trip to BlueMountain Beach. We have stayed in Destin for the past 20 years BlueMountain Beach has a great vibe and it’s not as crowded as Destin. The house was very clean, comfortable and very well equipped for all our families needs. We had 6 adults and 5 children from 9-17 years old. Very nice furniture and decor. Beach access was fairly convenient I recommend renting a golf cart to get back and forth.

Gorgeous House just a short walk from Beach
We loved this house! There’s enough room for everybody with one master on the first floor that has two double beds and then all the other bedrooms are upstairs. We enjoyed walks to the beach for the sunrise and sunset, and we were able to find parking close to the public beach access that’s located less than a half mile away. When we came back we were able to wash our feet off with the outside shower. We also grilled out on the screened in back porch. My family and I made memories that will last a lifetime, and we cannot wait for the opportunity to come back and enjoy it again!

Great House!
This house was beautiful! It was very clean and everything seemed brand new. All of the bedrooms were very nice and the beds were extremely comfortable. We had a great time grilling on the screened in porch and the beach was a very short walk away. I'm so happy we found this house. We'll definitely be back!

Truly a paradise!
I usually don't sleep well away from home, but I slept like a baby here! The beds were so comfy, and the linens were very nice. The bathrooms were appointed with the best smelling soaps, too. The layout of the great room was really nice, and the porch was awesome! There was a mounted TV, plenty of seating, and a grill. The porch was also equipped with a screen, so critters were nowhere to be found. Hopefully we'll be back soon!
