About this house rental
Nestled in Lake Lanier, this lovely house for $557 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Just 45 minutes from Buckhead off GA 400 is our lovely escape on a quiet cove south of the Chestatee in the northern part of Lake Lanier. NEW 2 story dock!!!!Have areas for 2 boats to tie up. It has been a place that our children have enjoyed along with all our friends over 35 years, with so many memories made there. Deep water. Whether it is in any of the change of seasons, it is a warm and inviting home to enjoy, whatever the weather. It has been our happy place! We hope it will be yours!!The house sits on a gentle slope to the lake with a view from both the sun porch and outside deck. The sun porch is enclosed with options to open windows with inside screens allowing for wonderful cross breeze amid the feeling of being in a tree house. Furnishings are comfortable that allow for guests to feel relaxed at this lake setting. The house sleeps 7 including a large king suite and queen bedroom both with adjoining full bathrooms. There is a bunk bed set and trundle with an additional full bath.( 7 is a strict number by the Dawson County rules- absolutely no exceptions except for very small children that sleep in baby beds)The living areas include a vaulted ceiling area with a stonework, wood burning fireplace with wood onsite, wi-fi throughout including TVs in the main area , sun porch and master bedroom. There is seating for people inside as well as 6 seats or more on the porch for dining plus 3 seats at the bar area. Outside table and chairs with umbrella seats 6-7. The kitchen has new cabinets, fully equipped, all linens and towels provided with new large washer and dryer available.The house is located 5-7 minutes from GA -400 with the turn off just above Route 53 and 10 minutes from the North Georgia Outlet Mall. There are multiple restaurants and shopping areas within 5-10 minutes of the house. Sites to discover include Amicacola Falls, Dahlonega, and Helen along with golf courses, hiking trails and vineyards nearby. There is a boat ramp at Thompson’s Creek about 10 minutes away off Route 53. The dock is in deep water for fishing, relaxing, swimming and boating. Two slips are available for boats with new seating area on 2nd story of new dock with 4 recliners and 4 Adirondack chairs. We have new 2 kayaks available on site. We have a child gate for the dock as well. We have a 8 person table on the main floor of the dock as well. There are stairs with handrails leading down to the dock with a gentle slope allowing for an easy walk to the lake. The house has a large outdoor deck with gas grille, an outdoor dining set with umbrella and a lovely view of the lake and yard. There is a fire pit seating area on the grounds as well. Outside the king suite is a seating area that faces the lake and grounds. There can be 4 cars easily parked on a flat area adjacent to the house with only 5 stairs to the decking. Traveling to North Georgia area is a great vantage point to visit historic areas even day trips to North Carolina, Highlands and Cashiers that are a few hours away. Intacart available We decorate for all Holidays especially Christmas and Thanksgiving. All linens, kitchen equipment, all tableware, trays, cooking needs etc are provided. New large washer-dryer set Come to relax and enjoy for a week or a long weekend for a lovely escape no matter what the season!!!!

Great location on Lake Lanier - the two-story deck was fantastic. House was comfortable with plenty of space for our family of six. Owner was very helpful and easy to get hold of. Highly recommend this house.

The property was great! The walk down to the lake was easy. The double boat dock was perfect for our group to use during the day. We enjoyed the large tables inside the house to use for our meals. Thank you for providing the opportunity to use.

The property was located in a perfect spot. We did enjoy the lake. It rained much of the time. The bushes in the driveway were very overgrown. My husband worried about scratches in his new car.
The other negative comments would be how there was too many of owners items everywhere. We could barely fit our clothes or bathroom items or kitchen supplies.
It seamed like we were imposing on a family’s vacation.
I understand the pollen was highly active this time of year, but the outside dwellings were dirty. It just seemed that someone would’ve gone that day to clean and sweep things off. It wasn’t very welcoming!

Loved our stay in Dawsonville. The house was even better than described, very comfortable with all the amenities. Close to restaurants and shops. 40 min drive to Helen and 20 min to Dahlonega. Will look to stay here in the summer as the double decker boat ramp looked inviting.

Fantastic Lake House
We enjoyed this property very much and would definitely rent here again! This house was equipped with everything we needed and has plenty of space for a family The brand new boat dock was perfect for our boat and we enjoyed floating around in the cove and kayaking!

Relaxing and restorative
After several months of unrelenting challenges and transitions, our famiky was blessed to spend a long weekend at this property. The abundant trees surrounding the house gave us a feeling of seclusion, but we loved being so close to stores and shopping. Having lake access and the use of kayaks allowed all of us to spend time in and on the water, and we enjoyed relaxing in the sunroom each evening. Dorothy made the check in process seamless and communicated clearly. The only things to be aware of are a tricky front door knob, steep steps downstairs to the master bedroom, and quite a few stairs to the lake with an older ladder off the dock. We felt rested and relaxed after our weekend here!

We had a wonderful trip with the family for Father’s Day weekend. The house is cozy and perfect, fully equipped and in the best spot on the lake AND sooo close to 400, 53 and all the shopping centers. Everything was wonderful and if that alone wasn’t enough, add to that the owner Dorothy, was so sweet and helpful and accommodating. We had a wonderful trip with the family for Father’s Day weekend. The house is cozy and perfect, fully equipped and in the best spot on the lake AND sooo close to 400, 53 and all the shopping centers. Everything was wonderful and if that alone wasn’t enough, add to that the owner Dorothy, was so sweet and helpful and accommodating. After very busy graduation festivities, we retired to the lake house in Dawsonville. The house was very comfortable for my husband and myself. My daughter, son in law and most of their family joined us for meals. They live 2 doors away in a much smaller house. The weather was beautiful for the weekend so all was perfect!

We had an amazing weekend at your lake house. Plenty of room for our family and everything was provided just as described. The house was beautifully decorated for fall. Convenient location for visiting Dahlonega and the wineries. We had a great time.

The rental process was a breeze! Property manager was a great communicator of door codes, alarms, wi-do etc. Super generous with letting us come early and stay later. The fire pits, kayaks, decks… all a perfect combination for three couples to connect, compete (kayak, cannonballs from the deck.. you name it), and refresh.

Nearly a perfect stay
Location is nice. Appreciate the nice deck and walkway to the boat slip. The patio was really nice as well for lounging. Check-in and check-out was very smooth. Beds are comfy.
Some opportunities for improvement… wifi did not work for us, which caused challenges for people with poor service or needed to work. TV remotes need batteries. There were three remotes and none seemed to work. Would’ve used the Roku app, but couldn’t get on the wifi. Make it slightly clearer where the trash is located too.

cleanliness was not up to our standard. Older home very cluttered and crowded with furniture and stuff. Lake access and location saved this stay from being a very bad experience.

My husband went fishing off dock and caught many BASS And catfish. We got 2 jetskis sad we could not dock them on dock but still did not stop our great stay. Owners are awesome communication is great.
