Really enjoyed our stay - perfect location for restaurants, shopping and town square (circle) - very comfortable lodging and thoughtful touches. Our host Cindy was never more than a text away - she responds ever so promptly. No issues at all, just exchanging notes. Plenty of dedicated parking just behind the house, next to the back door. Highly recommend

We felt so at home in this lovely space. And so did our dog! I could easily see bringing more of the family next time. It's less than a 10 minute walk to the center of downtown and we were so close to everything historical. The owner has thought of all our needs. The kitchen was fully stocked, which I appreciated since I did some cooking. The beds were comfy as well. The first floor had a half bath with a shower, which was an extra surprise. We will be back.

Perfect location, nice house, easy communication with owner and we enjoyed the selection of Civil War books. We spent over an hour testing our knowledge with 2000 things you didn't know about the Civil War.
Thank you for the use of your home.

Cindy was easy to communicate with and the house was clean. Fair warning, it fronts Rte. 30 and the front bedroom is very noisy (ear plugs for sleeping helped) plus it has a Keurig instead of a regular coffee pot so you will need KCups for brewing coffee.

Reasonably priced home with plenty of space for our family of 4 and close to main part of town. We stayed here for a long weekend and enjoyed the convenient location and space. The home has games for kids to explore and the rooms upstairs have plenty of space. Home is about 10 min walk from center of town and we enjoyed walking around town in the evenings after dinner (Mr. G's ice cream was amazing!). As other reviewers mentioned, the home is directly on the main street, so some of the trucks are loud. However, it seemed to quiet down in the evenings and we slept fine.

Pulling up to this house, you’ll feel excitement that you’ve made the right choice of stay! You’ll see the white 2 story-home, with ample back parking next to the covered entry way. Before you head in, you’ll see various sizes of land sections to the left, right and in front of you if you need it. Entering the home, you will find yourself in a well-stocked spacious kitchen, including a large fridge, Keurig, toaster, electric stove, and many other necessities if you plan to prepare meals during your stay. Enjoy family meals at the six seated kitchen dinette. The kitchen and dinette area are welcoming. Stepping to your left, you will walk straight into the laundry room, complete with detergent, vacuum, iron, ironing board and humidifier. Attached, you will see the bathroom which includes a toilet, sink, festive towels and soaps, etc. Leaving the bathroom, laundry room and kitchen, you will find yourself in the entertainment room which houses classic board games/puzzles/marbles, Civil memorabilia/ books, family magazines, easy to follow instructions for your stay and area maps/pamphlets. This area is in the center of the downstairs and provides extra floor space for guests and a large four-seat table for food, games, electronics, etc. Continue to the left a few steps and you enter the front room that has a comfortable couch, chairs, end tables and TV. This is a wonderful living-room! Walk to your right, and you’ll find the stairway to the upstairs bathroom at the top of the stairs with tub, shower, toilet, towels and necessities and a portrait of Abraham Lincoln reminding you of this historic town you are visiting! Beside the bathroom is the front bedroom that includes a nice queen bed, large closet, dresser, chair and TV. Returning into the hallway, you will pass more closet space and a dormer-seated window. Across from this is the middle bedroom, including roomy twin beds, a bedside table and lamp. Once in the hallway again, you’ll pass more closet space before finding the back bedroom with its own closet, comfortable queen bed, dresser, mirror, etc. The house has natural light with the many windows it provides. You won’t be disappointed with your Gettysburg housing choice. Our family stayed here recently with our new pup. The host, Cindy was very kind. She is generous and thoughtful about her home and guests. We could sense how each item chosen for this charming house had meaning to Cindy and her own family. Well done! Thanks!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The home was very clean. Check in/Check out process was very easy. Cindy was a wonderful host. Only an 8 minute walk to the many shops and restaurants at Lincoln Square. Dinner at Le Bella Italia (3 doors down) was excellent!

2nd stay
This is the second time that our family has stayed in this vacation rental. We appreciate the closeness to shops and restaurants at Gettysburg Square and that an entrance to the National Military Park (@ Culps Hill) is just a few blocks away.

Noise from route 30
There seemed to be quite a bit of traffic noise because of how close it is to route 30. The proximity to town was nice. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Had to do very little travel in the car.
