Situated in Lake Gaston, this attractive cottage for $598 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. NO REGRETS with this lake house, just read our reviews! This is a Family Friendly waterfront home in a quiet and relaxing neighborhood with GREAT VIEWS on Pea Hill Creek. The Primary Guest renting our home and signing the rental agreement must be at least 25 years of age. With over 300' of beautiful bulk headed shoreline on Lake Gaston this home is all about true Lake Living! This tastefully decorated lake cottage will surprise you w/ 3 bedrooms & 2 baths on the main level & an extra bedroom & full bath on the lower level giving you ample room for family & friends. The 1st floor great room is picture perfect w/ tongue & groove wood cathedral ceilings w/large stained beams, wood floors & brick fireplace...all opening up to the large covered porch giving you the ideal place to relax & enjoy the fabulous water views that surround this property. The large sliding glass doors give easy access to the generous level lawn and outdoor fire pit. DirecTV upstairs and AppleTVs upstairs and down so you can AirPlay your Vacation photos and videos or your own media content! The dock was completely rebuilt in 2016 and guests can enjoy the shaded area with ceiling fan, LED rope lights (for evening enjoyment) and BLUETOOTH speakers for listening to your tunes. The end of the dock is in 7' of water to allow swimming and jumping off the dock as well as steps to walk into the water from the land into a sandy bottom. There is also a large blue foam swim pad which the kids (and adults) can enjoy sunning and playing on while swimming off the dock! (PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE SWIM PADS FROM THE WATER). The boat lifts and jet ski lifts are NOT for use by renters or guests. There are built in bumpers and tie down cleats to the right of the pontoon boat for guest boat storage. Three youth kayaks, four adult kayaks, and two stand up paddle board are available for use by guests. There is a private neighborhood boat ramp (combo provided at check in) so you don't have to mess around with busy marina ramps. The fishing is also very good at Gaston with striped bass, largemouth bass, crappie and other pan fish and catfish. A Food Lion, an Ace Hardware, a Subway, and ice cream shack are all located within 5 miles. Other lakeside restaurants are nearby around the lake and they range from casual to more formal. Roanoke Rapids is a 20 minute drive from the house, with a mall with a Belk Store, Super Wal-Mart, movie theater, and numerous restaurants. Security System: The Property has a security system which will NOT be armed during your stay, but may beep when doors or windows are opened and closed. The Property also has EXTERIOR ONLY security cameras located around the perimeter of the Property and entry points into the house. THE CAMERAS DO NOT RECORD SOUND AND THERE ARE NO INTERIOR CAMERAS. NO PETS OR SERVICE/THERAPY ANIMALS ALLOWED ON PREMISES. NO EXCEPTIONS. Absolutely no house parties are allowed at the Property. If a house party is reported by neighbors, the cleaning company, or others, the entire deposit may be retained by Homeowner.

We enjoyed our second stay at The Wee Blue Inn very much. The house is clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The views of the lake are absolutely stunning. We also enjoyed the fire pit in the cooler fall temperatures.

We had a great time on our mini vacation on Gaston Lake. The house and property was great, everything you need for a great stay, very clean and lots of room. My grandson loved all the lake toys provided. We rented a boat and everyone enjoyed riding the boat and the boat toys. The fire pit was a hit also. Overall a great vacation, would stay at this property again for sure

We spent a lot of time on the dock and in the water. This part of the lake doesn't get too much traffic and a gas dock is close. Perfect getaway spot. Family loved it!

My family had a great time at this property. House was clean with plenty of room in a nice neighborhood. Excellent rental with all the things! The kids/young adults enjoyed kayaking, swimming, paddle boarding, fishing and playing games. We spent most of the day on the nice dock. The private boat ramp so close by was an added bonus. I would definitely book this property again.

Five stars from start to finish. This was a wonderful vacation for my whole family. The house is even better than we could have hoped. The private dock with all the fun water toys kept us all busy from sunup to sundown. The location was perfect for the laid back vibe we were hoping for and felt like we had our own personal spot at the lake. My kids are already asking if we can come back next year, and I can’t wait (unless we buy a place of our own :))!

Perfect repeat stay
This is our second year staying at the house. It is amazing. So fun for families. Plenty of space. The house is stocked so well. There was nothing they didn’t think of to make the stay perfect. We loved it.

Wonderful Escape on Lake Gaston
The Wee Blue Inn and its property are the perfect escape for some outdoor fun, rest and relaxation. The lake setting can’t be beat and the adorable home has everything you will need. Matt was super responsive and accommodating. We hope to return every year.

This location was perfect located on a large cove, it was great for swimming, tubing and skiing. Our kids loved the swimming area, the floating mat and the kayaks available for use. We will definitely come back.

We made a fire, played cornhole, and sat around the large table with board games. Linens provided made things easy too. We will definitely be back! We also met the neighbors next door that also VRBO and will be booking both houses for a large family get together soon. Thanks for making it such a special place to vacay!

Loved everything about this property. It was just as described. Had ALL of the comforts of home. Dock was perfect. Swim mat was so fun. Great location on the lake. House was clean and ready. Communication with manager was great. I don’t have a single complaint.

Wonderful getaway

Filthy dirty My wife and I had to clean for two days and the neighbor helped us he felt so bad for us He offered us to stay with him it was so dirty our realtor came to pick us up she was amazed at how filthy it is she said a lot of the houses are like that there I’m surprised VRbo would allow this The homeowner to rent a property in this condition the homeowner returned our cleaning fee once my wife sent him pictures my office will be filing a complaint with VRBO on Monday what a horrible experience I would hope VRBO would look at the pictures and videos we sent to the homeowner we had to clean the bugs from the corner of the rooms we couldn’t clean all the bugs and other under the kitchen sink smells like somebody did something in their horrible experience I don’t know how VRBO gets away with listing a property like this they need to be sued i’m curious to see if VRBO responds to me or my attorney I’m curious to see how this turns out I am so upset about this so disappointed in this this place is disgusting

Great House and Host
When you walk into the house, it is obvious that Matt and his family take great care of the house. The decor makes it feel like a home and not a rental property. The view from the back deck is awesome (take in at least one sunrise). We spent most of our time at the dock fishing and using the kayaks and paddle board. The fire pit is a great place to spend your evenings!!! This was our first time at Lake Gaston and it won't be our last!!! Thank you Matt for sharing your home with us.

Great House with Beautiful Views
We enjoyed our stay with all the fun amenities provided (kayaks, paddle boards and Lily pad). The views from the back porch were amazing. The dock was great as well! Our kids entertained themselves for hours! House location is perfect with water views from back and both sides with the way the house sits. We can't wait to come back.

Beautiful location, comfortable house with plenty of room for our big family.
House looks deceptively small but once you walk in and see the large bottom level it had plenty of space for our group (we had six kids ranging from 9-14 and four adults). The dock is huge and the kids had a blast using the floating pad that was provided and jumping straight into the deep end of the lake. There were enough kayaks and paddle boards for everyone. We have gone to this house for the last several years and plan on continuing this family tradition for many years to come!

Great Vacation 7/18 - 7/25/2020
Loved the side deck furniture and ceiling fan & the dock furniture with blue tooth and fan. Easy to find a shaded area!
Would like to have a space with a few extra towels and hand and wash cloths. It's hard to tell from the photos, but there are ~9 steps to the dock. They are in need of repair but given the blue spray paint on the lawn in that area, it looks like they are planning for some renovations. Hopefully they will add handrails for the steps, but you can walk around the perimeter of the property to reach the dock (still a wee bit difficult for anyone with mobility issues). Had fun playing Giant Jenga and really enjoyed the Smart TV. The number of water activities available -- paddleboard, kayak, and canoe equipment plus a swim pad -- made for a really great fun-filled lake vacation. Communication with the owner (Matt) was excellent.

A relaxing lake house and great host
House has a very nice lot and amenities. Owners are obviously vested in the house and have made some updates since last year. Lake is a nice escape, and the kayaks/paddle boards are great and kept in good shape. Dock has fan, bluetooth speakers, and nice seating .... so you should spend your time outside. House is well prepared so bring your beach towels, boating stuff, and relax [Nice upgrade over houses requiring sheets and inside towels.... just one more thing to pack]. Thanks Matt. Hope to be back next year.
