Nestled in Lake Gaston, this charming house for $649 per night is a great option for your next trip. Everything you could want in your lake house rental to make memories that will last a lifetime! Wine Down is a beautiful waterfront home on a point lot with expansive views of the desirable Pea Hill Creek. There is a modern double Boathouse for Great Lakeside Entertaining and a modest elegance for relaxing at the lake! The house can comfortably accommodate a group of friends or multiple families with 2 living spaces, multiple dining spaces at the house and boathouse, a fully finished lower level with kitchenette, game room and walkout to lakeside patio area. Upper lakeside covered porch with lovely lake views to enjoy some amazing sunsets. Home is situated on a flat, private and scenic lot with 221 feet of shoreline and a private beach areas. Boathouse with sundeck, covered dock sitting area, wet bar and jet ski lifts. Kayaks and a canoe are available for use. Deep water too. Private community boat ramp is a stone’s throw away. Restricted Neighborhood. Close to Marina and Main Lake. Close to local conveniences. There is something for everyone to love at Wine Down!!! Additional House Details: - Sat-Sat rental for bookings between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Other times of the year, there is a three night minimum. - The HOA closely monitors the number of people staying in the house. If you have more people staying in the house than have been approved in your booking, there may be an additional per person fee assessed. The max number of people allowed is 10. - Pets are allowed on case by case basis and with approval only with an added fee. Max 2 dogs. - No-smoking

Our group included my husband, myself, one of our sons, and his 2 teens. The house is very clean, like new, beautifully decorated, and well appointed with everything we needed to be comfortable. The property owner is very nice, and easily contacted. The boathouse is in like new condition, and is a great place to relax while fishing. We enjoyed the firepit, roasting hot dogs, and making smores. This is a great getaway for reconnecting with family.

This house is perfect for a family vacation with plenty of room and a great rec room with games, tv, etc. Having a private boat ramp next to the property along with a nice boathouse (with lifts) was definitely a plus. The kids enjoyed both the beach area and swimming and fishing from the dock. There was nothing that we needed that was not provided. The kitchen is equipped with anything the cook might need. Plenty of dishes, glassware, and cookware plus a complete array of small appliances. Host communicated well and provided additional information for recommended dining, shopping, and recreational opportunities. An excellent VRBO.

With the right number of bedrooms and bathrooms, boat dock and a boat ramp right next door, Winedown was wonderful!! We all had a real good time.

We loved our stay at Wine Down and Kate was quick to respond to any of our questions or needs. We are two families with kids between 8 and 16. The space was perfect for our group and the whole house was clean to our high standards. The shuffleboard table and foosball table were an added bonus, very much enjoyed by everyone in the house. The yard had plenty of space with barely any slope so we were able to enjoy the yard games we brought. The dock was fantastic with lots of space for fishing and for the kiddos to jump in to the lake. (We caught a good number of catfish.) My son found a cinder block at the bottom of the lake that we used to anchor our big float for the week. (No need to worry about kids hitting it when jumping in - it's far enough out and pretty deep. He's just a fish and enjoyed swimming to the bottom to find cool rocks and clams.) Having a refrigerator and sink at the dock was also great!

Location, things todo, well stocked kitchen, comfy beds, glorious front porch rockers..... it was all there! We’ve been doing family vacations for 30+ years and this is the first home that we would come back to. Seriously....couldn’t find any fault with the home!

We had the most wonderful week at Wine Down. The location was perfect; quiet yet close to the grocery store, coffee houses and even a gym. Kate is very responsive and does a great job communicating. The house itself was clean, cozy and well organized...with very, very comfortable beds. We enjoyed and spent most of our time outside, on the dock or relaxing on the large front porch! We also enjoyed watching all of the geese walking around the property and swimming in the lake. You just have to watch where you step, when you are walking between the house and dock...a walkway of some sort would have made a perfect trip even more perfect.

Kate's home was perfect for 2 families. There was space for 2 adult couples. Boys in the bunk beds and girls in the loft queen upstairs. Everyone had space for alone time and time together. The kayaks, game room and large yard made for a lot of fun. The large porch and boathouse allowed us to watch the most beautiful sunsets and night sky. Kate was super responsive. Everything was in great working order. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all meals including Thanksgiving. We would gladly return. I originally missed that we needed to bring sheets and towels so just make sure to do that! Overalll, this was an EXCELLENT vacation home and we'd love to return in the summer.

This is our third time staying at Wine Down and as usual it did not disappoint. Kate does a fantastic job in communicating and has thought of nearly everything. We had a slight hiccup at check-in, but it was quickly resolved and the rest of our trip went without a hitch. Only complaint is that we had to leave so soon.

Family decided to try a Lake Vacation other than the normal beach vacation. This home at Lake Gaston was really a top shelf experience! The home location was awesome. We were close to a store by car or boat. The home's "Boathouse" was a real winner. housed two 21' boats with good water depths. Views of the sun sets on the roof top sunning deck were outrageous! The home was great. Recycles run every other week so it depends on your week if you have to run to the recycle center. Kate was very responsive; we hope to return soon as the home and location are wonderful.

Five Star Experience
This house and location is a favorite of our family. This was our 12th year to stay at this beautiful house and property. Boating, tubing, fishing and family time. Kate is excellent to work with for the rental process. Never a disappointment at this property.

A true escape!
We are a large family and have made many trips together, and stayed many places, but none as accommodating as Kate's lovely lakefront home!
This property has a beautiful view from all the windows that face the lake! The two bedrooms with the king-size beds have big windows where the serene lake view greets you each morning!
The kid's bunk room is adorable. My two kids 12 & 13, loved it! The downstairs game room/living area was perfect to accommodate kids or even another family. I loved that there were two entrances, one on each level.
The loft bedroom was a great option for our oldest daughters who could only come a couple of days but still felt like they had their own space, including their own dedicated bathroom
The house is so fully stocked, it left me making a list for my own house when I got home! The home is furnished in such a way that you feel like you are both at home and at a resort at the same time :) Extra blankets in every room and bedroom, spices in the cabinet, games to play, it has it all!
Outside, the property is laid out with two beaches (one cove-like beach that felt like it's own little resort beach!), a beautiful boathouse and a large yard. My husband and son fished every day and caught plenty :)
Overall, this house was exactly what our family needed and we had an awesome week! I would highly recommend this home!
