Completely restored English basement unit in Upscale Brick Townhouse built in 1850 offers modern craftsmanship and comfort while maintaining historic character and charm. Beautifully furnished and light-filled, this unit is right smack in the heart of Capitol Hill! A locked, gated entrance leads to this separate apartment. Once you enter, you will walk into a very comfortable living room with hardwood floors and oriental rugs, a fire place, two couches, 50-inch flat-screen HD TV, and a table for dining. The fully equipped kitchen includes all the amenities – oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, pots, pans, plates, glasses; basically everything you will need! There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the second with a twin bed. (The unit can also accommodate a fourth guest with a twin bed that is available when notifying the owner in advance). Fresh linens, pillows, blankets and comforters are provided. There is one full bathroom equipped with fresh towels, shampoos/conditioners, shower gels, soap and a hairdryer. The unit is also fully air-conditioned, includes Wifi, Direct TV w/ HBO & Showtime, a washer/dryer and a free Visitors Parking pass for street parking. An added bonus is the use of the gorgeous landscaped backyard which includes patio furniture and BBQ. Conveniently located 3 blocks from the US Capitol Building, and 3 blocks to Eastern Market. Easy walking to 15+ area restaurants, supermarkets, liquor stores and area shops and boutiques. 2 min walk to Bus Stops & 5 min walk to either Capitol South or Eastern Market Metro subway stops.

My friend and I loved the apartment. It had everything we needed for our stay and was close to restaurants and a grocery store. The neighborhood was quiet and felt very safe. Christie was a great host and responded promptly when we had questions. We hope to return next year.

Excellent stay in a cozy, charming apartment! My daughter and I were able to walk virtually everywhere, which was a wonderful bonus. We toured the White House, the Capitol, the Library of Congress, visited many of the museums on the Mall, and our home away from home was a lovely place to relax in at the end of the day. The United States Botanical Gardens were a stroll away as well. Christie was an excellent host, responsive and friendly. Street parking was a breeze. Great location for anyone wanting to have walking access to some of Washington DC’s most iconic sites.

Stayed with my wife and 2 teen children. Lovely apartment in cool neighborhood with a bunch of fun restaurants/bars/coffee shops etc. within a few minutes walk. Staying there made us feel like locals. Felt very safe. Owner is very pleasant and responsive. We’ll be back. Thank you.

We spent a week, the apartment was just as described. So pleased with the location to metro, shopping, and dinner out. The backyard is amazing. You don’t even know your in the city. Christine was so kind to let us leave our luggage and head to the eastern market…..since our flight changed! A must stay when in DC

415 is in a very quiet neighborhood, but is just blocks from the Capitol, Senate and Congressional office buildings, the Supreme Court, numerous cafes. The many Smithsonian museums are just a few blocks further past the Capitol. If your visit is to see the national monuments and don't fancy walking, Uber is the way to go. The Metro is wonderful, but if you'd still be doing a lot of walking both getting to the stop and then to the place you want to see. Reservations at popular restaurants are a must, so plan ahead. We made a detailed week long itinerary, reservations and had zero problems.

This apartment suited our needs quite well! A few small edits: it’s a solid ten min walk from Capitol South metro stop, not five. For folks using the kitchen, there could have been a few more supplies (ie, no spatula or colander, and we had to order things like cooking oil and coffee). But the place was clean and well-maintained and situated. Thank you!!

Lovely apartment with a seating area in the back of house. The beds are comfy, kitchen had everything needed to cook. Close to several eateries, markets, modes of transportation. It was a perfect spot to get around and see the sights. Host was nice, had an inforamtion packet full of stuff. Gives great instruction for our stay. Their corgie was a perfect furry fix for me missing my dog. Would definitely stay again.

The location of the apartment was perfect. Metro was close and a great variety of restaurants as well! Beds were comfortable. We bought food at the close Trader Joe’s market and utilized the kitchen to make breakfast in the mornings. The only downside was the location of the bathroom…. It was located in one of the spare rooms and the sliding door was pretty “squeaky”, so our son was disturbed frequently when he was resting or sleeping at night 😕 other than that- no complaints!

We had a perfect stay here in DC. This property is so comfortable and convenient. It was walking distance to Starbucks, Trader Joes, eateries and pubs as well as the Capitol Building. The owner lives upstairs and was so accommodating. The entrance is private and the street parking was available and easy. We will be back!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect for access to everything. There is more than meets the eye with this little place and we found all the things we needed tucked neatly away. Christie was a kind and responsive host. This apartment is in a perfect location to see the sights of DC. Comfortable beds to return back to to get a good nights sleep so you can start all over the next day. Prepare to do a lot of walking or take the bus or Metro. We had a great trip. Our host was very accommodating.

We rented this unit to enjoy the city for the weekend. It was perfect. The neighborhood is super cute, and the farmers market was great. It's a short walk to the metro station, which was nice. We traveled with our two daughters, and the hostess accommodated us by setting up an extra bed so we were all sleeping in separate areas, which was awesome after spending the ENTIRE day with them, lol (momma needed a break!). I would definitely stay here again.

My parents, my 21 year old son and I came into DC for Wreaths Across America and Christmas Illuminations at Mt Vernon...we chose this apartment for its ease of parking (parking pass Mon-Fri, free weekend parking) in the neighborhood and easy access to Metro. We noticed plenty of restaurants and a Trader Joe's nearby, but had brought groceries with us. The space was neat and clean, had enough space for 4 adults. We cooked and prepared all our meals in the kitchen, finding much of what we needed to prepare easy meals. We would have loved a floor lamp in the living room for reading, but the overhead light was plenty. Christie was easy to communicate with and friendly/welcoming when we arrived. We would come back to the apartment and the neighborhood again.

This was an absolutely amazing experience. The rental owner is very nice and accommodating. We had a blast exploring the city and the location was perfect. The building was very cozy and the kitchen had everything we needed. EVERYTHING WAS BETTER THAN WE COULD HAVE IMAGINED.
