Cute and private plantation-style cottage within walking distance of the beach, plus private parking. Great place to just relax and stay home, or a basecamp for all island activities.

The house is a classic beach house with loads of character. If you are looking for an authentic (non-condo) holiday stay, this is the place for you. We were a family of 5 and where very comfortable. It is a short 2 min walk to a small beach good for morning dips. There is a good corner shop 5 mins walk away that serves good coffee and snacks. Mama’s Fish House is also 2 mins walk away.

Great property very very short walk to the beach (2 locations we found, a nice sandy beach with sea turtles and an easy walking rocky beach) . Loved walking up to the corner store. Thank you!

Another wonderful stay!

Another wonderful stay!

This was our second time staying in this house and once again it was perfect. We were there celebrating our tenth anniversary with our two young sons. Having the beach just steps away meant we could go swim a couple times a day without loading everybody into the car and trekking out somewhere. We could easily pop back to the house for nap time as well. It was a very restful, low-stress way to enjoy our time on Maui. The home is beautiful and clean, the location couldn’t be better, and the host is helpful and attentive. We would love to return again!

What a perfect place for our first trip to Maui. House was better than expected and the location couldn’t have been better. Paia is an awesome small Hawaii town away from the mega resorts. Great starting off point for any adventure you desire. The small beach close by was perfect for our little people. Really can’t wait to come back. Mahalo Kalia for the hospitality. -Chad

We had the best time. It was the perfect spot for our group. We went with another couple and both of our husbands were celebrating their 70 th birthday. It was so nice having the yard. We sat outside and had wine in the evening. Such a short walk to the beach and the first day there was a turtle sunning on the beach. We snorkeled with two turtles another day. I love the town of Paia. So cute and laid back. I can’t wait to come back and I wouldn’t hesitate to book this wonderful little house again. It felt like home away from home. We did not want for anything… thank you for such great memories

Charming beach cottage with three bedrooms, two bathrooms. Very clean and good communication with the host. Great little market/deli just a 5 min walk away for morning lattes (and vegan options). Quiet residential neighborhood close to Mama's Fish House, and a few minutes drive into Paia for shopping, restaurants and Baldwin Beach. Sorry to leave when the week was up, had a great stay.

Fabulous beach house and serenely happy time

Our family of four stayed for a few weeks enjoying every aspect of Kuau and the north shore in this quintessential beach house. We loved the open and airy feel of the house, the quick and easy access to two beach spots, started our days with treats from the Kuau Store, and conveniently travelled to Paia and Kanaha filling our days with wind, surf, sun and fun. The house had a wonderful vibe about it which felt very restorative and we were never feeling at a loss for anything (everything well stoked and appointed etc). It was a dreamy place to be (more than once we wished we could own a house just like it) and we can’t wait to return. Kalia was super and kind and helpful to work with and we enjoyed meeting her.

This is a private location that is not close to the main tourism of Maui but is close enough to everything that any adventure is accessible. It is the start point for heading out the road to Hana as well as the bike ride up Haleakala. Famous kiteboarding and surfing beaches are within a mile or so of the house. The house itself was cozy, clean, well equipped, and comfortable. We had a great time.

We loved this quaint neighborhood. From the great shoreline just steps away, friendly people, and delicious juices at Kuau Store, the location is perfect for jumping off to all of the spots on Maui. The house itself fit our family of six well and having a kitchen equipped with all of the necessary supplies for cooking was great. We definitely enjoyed the cross winds as they provided enough breeze that we didn’t even need the A/C units. Host was excellent and responsive.

Perfect for families!

We adored this house ! It was open and airy and comfortable. It had everything we needed to cook meals and we spent many hours in the little kitchen nook. Our 5 year old loved the house so much he wanted to just hang out there everyday, walking to the little beach a mere block away. We counted turtles on the beach every morning and every evening, once coming upon 11 sleeping turtles and a huge monk seal. My only recommendation would be for outdoor furniture, a picnic table even , to enjoy the lawn and back porch.

This home was a beautiful sanctuary during our vacation. Clean, cozy, private, ideally located, and close to the beach for morning sunrises and evening sunsets. The house manager, Kalia, was warm and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time on Maui. If you want to feel what it would be like to be a local (rather than a tourist) and you like the quieter feel of a small town, this is the place to stay! We loved our time here and would absolutely recommend (and will hopefully come stay again)! Thanks for having us. :)

This home was perfect for our family. Three large bedrooms, a bath and a half and lots of shared space to spread out. The neighborhood is wonderful- quiet and convenient. The house even had some unlisted amenities like beach umbrellas, a baby booster seat, and sun hats! We paired our stay with a local baby equipment rental company for a pack and play and a wagon and the house contact worked with the rental company to get everything dropped off before we arrived. It was awesome. We will be back!

This was a spectacular house super close to a small beach. The the location was great for enjoying all of Maui! Paia is lovely where you don't feel the hustle and bustle of a tourist town.
