This is a gem of a property. The cabin has so much character and charm. We loved the fresh bread every morning. Walked the property the first day (highly recommend) opened our door one day and a peacock was right on the porch. BEAUTIFUL
We had such a nice relaxing visit while checking out Tennessee during the days. Highly recommend and would love to come back in other seasons to see the full beauty!

The farm is absolutely stunning! You can tell a lot of love and work goes into making the grounds so beautiful. The sound of nature was all around and it was so very peaceful. Thank you to Gisela, Lucia and Jil for making our stay so special! The fresh baked bread daily and the breakfast supplies were such a special treat!

This little log cabin at Evergreen Farms was the perfect vacation spot…only about 20 mins from all of the excitement of Nashville along with the secluded peacefulness of the farm!!! Definitely want to come back!!

The moment we entered the driveway we were in awe of the meticulously kept grounds and amazing views of rolling fields and wooded areas. From our parking space we had a short walk down a winding brick path through even more beautiful landscaping.
Our cabin was so cozy, with a covered porch complete with a lighted Christmas tree. We spent many mornings and evenings on the porch watching the geese and ducks in the pond. Turkeys roamed the woods, and peacocks came by for the seeds dropped by birds at the feeders.
The inside of the cabin was just as welcoming. We used the fireplace each evening, and appreciate all the detail that went in to making this place feel so comfortable. The loft bedroom was perfect, and we loved the daily warm bread and items left for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed our conversations with Alina and Stefan, and felt completely at home during our stay.
Visiting the memorial to Reinhold Holtkamp on the top of the hill and hearing of his and Gisela's experiences from their grandson, Stefan, helped us appreciate this amazing property even more. All the love, attention to detail, and ongoing maintenance required to bring their vision to reality resulted in a week that was truly memorable.

This was by far the best cabin/property we've stayed at. The cabin was nicely done and the kitchen was fully stocked with breakfast and lunch items. Warm homemade bread was left on the porch every morning! Yum 😋 The property was amazing with peacocks, ducks, and deer all around. I loved sitting on the porch and taking in the views. Beautiful to walk around. The cabin is very private but close enough to Nashville if you wanted some city sites. Highly recommend!

The wife and I typically stay downtown when we visit Nashville… we decided to venture off the beaten path this time. We absolutely fell in love with Evergreen Farms… the property is sprawling and beautiful, the staff is helpful and friendly. Surrounded by nature with an abundance of animals, and beautiful greenery. The cabin was well appointed, we are already looking forward to our next stay!

I don’t even know where to begin! My husband and I LOVED our stay at the Farm! It was a little piece of paradise that we will cherish forever! Gisela was a delight and her family made us feel so welcomed! You can tell how much she cherishes her property and wants you to enjoy it just as much as she does! The history and story behind the property and the family is truly heart warming and EVERYONE should have a little Gisela is their life! She’s a remarkable woman! The horses were so friendly and we loved being greeted every morning by Callie, her cat who is just the sweetest! Pictures don’t do this place justice! It’s even more beautiful in person!
It was more than a perfect 10 year anniversary and we can’t wait to go back!

We sure enjoyed our stay at Gisela’s beautiful cabin. Hiking the property, fresh bread every morning, a refreshing dip in the pool, the horses, peacocks, FritzI, the dog, etc…. Glad we returned again!

This was like out of a fairytale. Just sitting on the porch we saw geese, a blue heron, huge koi fish in the lake, a beautiful buck across the lake, deer right at the cabin, a possum hanging in the tree, beautiful peacocks roaming everywhere, my beloved cardinals right in the tree in front of the cabin and gorgeous cats... one took a particular fondness for us. The pool was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and kind. Two of us are getting old and can't walk far so they rode us on the gator to view the property and see the fantastic memorial for the gentleman, Gisela's husband, Reinhold, who along with Gisela created this fairytale place. We love Gisela's bread she baked every morning. Thank you such a memorable visit.

Beautiful love story and memorial to honor the hosts late husband. Would definitely return in the future. Fridge comes stocked with cold cuts and fresh bread is delivered between 7-8 am on your doorstep. If you have small children it’s suitable but the cabin itself had beautiful glass decorations, and I was nervous about being in reach of a two year old. It would be perfect for an anniversary or for those traveling with children 8 and up. Everyone on the property was nice and caring.

My husband and I went to Nashville for a music show at the Ryman. It was an easy trip to Nashville. We had planned on several trips out. We only made one the rest of the time we talked, went on a very long walk, went down by the pool and just relaxed . The setting is absolutely amazing. It’s very calming and the owner is very sweet. The caretaker is kind and helpful. I hope this place will be around for many more years to come .

My husband and I just stayed at Evergreen Farms. We were there for a week to celebrate our 10th anniversary. The cabin was spotless and very homey. We spent a large amount of time in the pool and watching the peacocks that roam the acreage. There was fresh bread for us every morning that we enjoyed with our breakfast on the front porch. It couldn't have been a more pleasant getaway for us. We will be returning!

This property is magnificent and allows for total disconnection from the outside world. No road traffic noise, just your thoughts and nature. The fresh chicken eggs, lunch meat, cheese, and fruit was great. but the fresh bread each morning is unbelievable. Highly recommend a stay hear if you want to disconnect. Easy drive to Nashville as well.

The wildlife is abundant & beautiful to watch. The pool was very private & we enjoyed it very much. The fridge was well stocked & Gisela’s fresh warm bread every morning was such a treat. We about lived on the front porch enjoying the pond with geese & peacocks all day. Thank you all for a such a special experience in the beautiful country felt so relaxed & refreshed. There was no service available. Although it says in the advertising, there was none. I couldn't get phone calls, make calls, or use the internet. This is a problem, especially if there is important and necessary communication needed such as an emergency in or out.. Also, I needed to conduct some business while staying here but couldn't do that either. Created anxiety for me. I really needed the internet and my cell phone to work.
But other than that loved the property and pool.
But I think its time to get high speed communication to the property. Thanks.

We live 30 minutes away in South Nashville but felt like we were in a tropical paradise! So many beautiful birds, peacocks, geese (and goslings!), kitty cats, and plants galore! The fresh bread every morning along with the packed fridge was such a treat. The pool and the view were incredible and the wilderness trails were so well maintained and had such great views. We can't wait to come back!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for our trip to Nasvhille. Mrs. Gisela has a woodland oasis. It's quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Loved all the wildlife. The peacocks were so fun to observe and listen to while drinking our morning coffee on the covered porch. Every detail was thought of. Mrs. Lucia was great to communicate with on any questions we had, which were few. The daily fresh baked bread was delicious, wish I would have asked for the recipe! We will definitely stay here again for future visits. Thank you again for a lovely weekend!

The lodgings and setting were well worth the short distance outside of Nashville. The peacocks, turkeys, geese, ducks and horses were a great additional treat.
We enjoyed the bakery bread and other goodies in the refrigerator. The owners and management are very courteous and thoughtful.
You will enjoy staying here!

We stayed here because we wanted a place to get away from the hustle of the city and relax while we weren't exploring Nashville. It definitely met our expectations. It's quiet, cozy, and we saw so much wildlife over the weekend. It was incredibly relaxing. We got fresh baked bread every morning and the fridge was stocked with food and beverages. We loved sitting on the porch enjoying the sounds of nature. We also walked around the pond and enjoyed seeing some of the fish, turtles, and birds up close. Gorgeous property that is a true oasis just out of the city.
A few things I will say just as an FYI for those planning on visiting is that it's VERY easy to get locked out of the cabin. They do provide a code for the extra key, however I would suggest always having the key provided with you even sitting out on the porch just in case. The pool is also not actually attached to the cabin itself, it is attached to the owners home that is across from it. Which, was a little confusing when we first arrived. However, it can still be used as a guest. It wasn't ready for us to use yet since it's still May, but looked nice and was deep. This is only a 15 minute drive from Nashville, HOWEVER if it's a busy time on a weekend the traffic is heavy in this area. I would suggest to leave at least 45 minutes to an hour before your planned arrival if you're going downtown to the Broadway area and on any kind of time crunch.
This was a great place to stay. We highly recommend. Thank you for having us!

The property and cabin are well kept, and the scenery is beautiful. We were encouraged to explore the property, and at 100 acres there are plenty of areas to explore. The family enjoyed interacting with the animals, and learning about the history of the property. The location is great and is an easy drive to downtown, Opryland, etc. if you wanted to go to the tourist areas too. We appreciated the owner opening up their cabin for us to stay, and definitely recommend this experience to others.

What a unique way to visit Nashville! It felt like we were miles out in the country but we were really quite close to most of the most popular spots in Nashville. It reminded me of staying at my grandmothers house with knickknacks and momentos everywhere. There are also peacocks everywhere and they happened to be mating which made for a lot of bird calls and also some great photos. This is a very private spot, so if you enjoy that, you will adore this cabin.

This cabin was all that was described and more. Very peaceful, wonderfully stocked fridge. The grounds are beautiful, I can only imagine how gorgeous it will be come summer! The cabin is very cozy. We opted to cook several suppers there instead of eating out, we enjoyed the porch and the serenity of the farm.
