Enjoy the private lanai and manicured lawn complete with a deck and a spa. This home is surrounded on two sides by an ancient Hawaiian archeological site. You'll love the comfortable, open-concept living area in this lovely home. The living room, kitchen and dining area all share the view of the ocean and sunset. Experience ocean and sunset views from the kitchen, living room and dining area. This home features festive ocean-themed interior design touches throughout. The large gourmet kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare a great meal. Gas cooktop and dining space for up to eight people create efficiency and convenience. The living room is furnished with an abundance of comfortable seating as well as a 55-inch flat-screen T.V. The highlight of this space is lanai which is accessible through the large sliding glass doors. Enjoy expansive views of the sparkling ocean, as well as refreshing sea breezes. In addition to lanai access and beautiful views, the primary bedroom features a king-sized bed, 40-inch T.V. with Blu-Ray player, WiFi, and high ceilings with fans and skylights. You'll love the privacy of the en suite bathroom, dual sinks, and walk-in closet. The second bedroom is furnished with a cozy queen-size bed, an overhead fan, 32-inch wall-mounted Smart T.V. with a Blu-Ray player, and a large closet. The third bedroom is comfortably furnished with two twin beds, an overhead fan, and a 32-inch Smart T.V. All televisions feature cable, including Netflix, for your enjoyment. The second full-sized bathroom is located in the hallway between the second and third bedrooms. House water filtration system, a small library, as well as Netflix and Blu-Ray-equipped televisions throughout provide you with every amenity for the perfect vacation. The beach is only a short drive away from Hale Alaula. All you need are towels, sunscreen, and flip-flops. Upon your return, simply wash the sand away from under the refreshing outdoor hot shower. Or if you prefer, take a hot tub in the private spa while watching the sunset. This home has an expansive private lanai and manicured grass area with a spa and deck with direct views to the ocean. Have a family cook-out in the barbecue area, enjoy ice-cold drinks and balmy tradewinds while lounging on the deck. This home is the perfect gathering place. Malulani Gardens is a private gated community that is easily accessible to downtown Kailua-Kona. Our stay was amazing. The central air did quit working during our stay, we notified the property manager and they responsed immdeiately and had it fixed right away. We loved the quiet gated community and the house was fully stocked, it was a perfect place for a 3 generation family trip.

We loved the location of this property. It was so convenient to shopping and downtown, but was in a quiet neighborhood with lots of street parking. The amenities were more than we could ask for. The owners had thought of everything and were generous in sharing. The kitchen had so many nice appliances, dishes, spices, cooking utensils, vases, etc. and I think we used them all! There were sun hats, which came in very handy, beach toys and chairs, towels, etc. We had a wonderful time and much of it was thanks to this property! I would definitely recommend as a premium place to stay.

The house is well laid out and very comfortable. The appliances are all high quality. The weather control was very good, quiet and effective. The outdoor eating space had a nice view, including the ocean.
The location was convenient for visiting the west side beaches and restaurants in the town. Altogether I recommend this house highly.

This home was great for our needs. Well equipped and conveniently located. Management was attentive as well. Kona is such a fantastic island with so much to offer. We wish we could have stayed longer but hopefully we will be back soon. We will look to stay here again on our next visit.

Property managers were really nice to work with. The area is neighborhoody-only houses. but its nice. view is really nice, clean and safe. there is some area to walk around, but you have to leave the gated community to get a real walk in. close enough to stores that you can get whatever you need. the washer and dryer are good and fairly large capacity

This was the most organized and well maintained property we have stayed at! The property manager was super responsive. For example, we told her we were missing beach umbrellas, she promptly came and brought us new ones. The AC was perfect and was much needed as well! The dvds were great for the kids and adults alike.

My family (3 kids 6, 10, 13) all had a great time. Nice place, good location. I was an idiot and misread the gate code instructions, and the property manager kindly facetimed me to show me how to open it. (My mistake, not theirs).

I loved this house! The perfect Big Island vacation home and I've stayed in so many different places. The listing description was completely accurate and so much more! It has everything you could possibly want or need. The property couldn't be any more clean and beautiful. I will recommend this house to everyone. The location is great for beaches, restaurants, and shopping.

Great Kailua-Kona House Vacation Rental
While visiting Kona, I wanted to be away from hotels, cook my own food and relax in a quiet environment. This rental was that and much more. The house is clean and spacious with a well-equipped kitchen, a beautiful lanai for eating breakfast, a fun outdoor shower and large hot tub, all with a beautiful view of the ocean. The lot next to the house is a sacred site (no building allowed) which gives the property a bucolic feeling. This gated-community property is located close to stores and downtown and is centrally located to visit local beaches and restaurants. And there is snorkel gear, boogie boards, mats, towels, umbrella and coolers for use. I enjoyed being able to head South to Two Step beach for snorkeling or North to Hapuna Beach for swimming, or to Waimea for lunch. And, of course, strolling along Ali'i Drive at sunset made it perfect. This is a great place for a fun vacation.

Paradise found!
This is our 3rd visit to Hale Alaula house. We stayed for 2 weeks. The listing description is 100% accurate in terms of space, layout and amenities provided. The location of this house is the best on the big island. Less than 5 minutes down the hill you will find Starbucks, Walmart and a Safeway supermarket. It is an 8-10 minute drive to Ali'i Drive in Kona where you will find shops, beaches and fabulous restaurants. The house is beautifully decorated, clean, cozy and makes you feel like you're home. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, pots and pans, coffee maker, dishwasher, plus a washer & dryer. Enjoy a great BBQ on the lanai which has an unobstructed view of the Pacific ocean. Sunsets are stunning! Relax in the backyard after a day of swimming or sightseeing in the hot tub and the outdoor shower you will absolutely love! The owners have gone out of their way to provide boogie boards and snorkel equipment for your use and enjoyment. Flat screen TV's throughout the house, strong WiFi signal and a large library of DVD's. In all of our travels over the years, we have never experienced a more relaxing comfortable home and we plan on returning every year! It"s as if you were in your own home in paradise.

Comfortable and convenient - just what we were hoping for!
The outside shower and lanai reminded us constantly that we were on vacation. The kitchen included everything we needed. Very comfortable for friends traveling together. Recommend this house!

Perfect location and a well stocked house!
The house was perfect for our family of four. We loved having breakfast and sunset bbqs on the beautiful lanai. We explored so much of the island and coming back to our home away from home! The only reason we didn’t give a 5 was that the hot tub was a big part of why we chose this house. It was very dirty and smelly when we arrived. Finally, after 2 requests the water was changed and treated but we only had 2 nights left to use it (here 2 weeks). The garbage and recycling was left in the bins from the previous tenant and we couldn’t put ours in - but the manager did send some one over and it was cleaned up the next day!
So, overall very good - for many reasons. I would recommend this place - it is lovely- maybe don’t count on having a hot tub and just enjoy the amazing Island and all its diversity!

Impressive! Ideal location with great views!
We had a wonderful stay at David & Toni's home. Everything is clean, comfy and convenient. The neighborhood is quaint and situated near everything. We enjoyed walking down to the pier for an easy swim/snorkel. The highlight for us has to be the outside shower. Such a treat to then take a dip in the hot tub. We will definitely stay here again!

Amazing views of the ocean with an outdoor shower and hot tub. Nicely decorated and located near the best shopping and dining in Kona. The snorkeling equipment and bodyboard for guest use was a nice touch. Definitely coming back.
